So the 5 point star is used for elemental reactions when combining different elements, for example say you wanted to summon a spirit and give it a body. You would use the 5 point element star for giving the spirit elements for his or hers body to work with, you need to give the body earth, water, air, fire and spirit to be a proper body. The 5 point star is non-periodic so things summoned from it won't exactly be like a perfect crystal, If you wanted to summon something perfect a 6 point star would be used because just like a snowflake and how perfect it is it has six points to evenly match all its properties in each corner. The center of the star is void just like all the stars, but void can be filled with things, Ill explain that another time.* Said Chishiki
And the 6 point star is used for things that are perfect like I stated before. It can be a perfect balance of anything because it has even points opposite of each other. Most magic will use a six point star to make it perfect. But there's use for an odd star also, Like infinity. The five point star can be traced infinitely which can lead to potentially law breaking magic but very unbalanced while the six point star is like two triangles that overlap each other in the opposite directions making a perfectly balanced star* Said Chishiki
