That's right, a scorpion!!! I don't usually get scared at bugs, but I literally almost screamed. Also for context, I live in the UK. We don't get scorpions at all, except for in zoos. At first I thought it was a very late Halloween prank and that it was a fake scorpion, but then I looked closer and realised that, no, it was real.
Basically what had happened was that my dad had once brought back a bottle of tequila back from Mexico but never drank it. Then today when my mum was clearing out old stuff, she had found the tequila and poured it down the sink. Then when she realised there was a scorpion in the bottom, she had left it in the sink to see what my reaction would be. Initially I freaked out but then I realised that it was pretty cool, and because the scorpion had essentially been sitting in preservatives for the past ten years, I decided to keep him. Now he's sitting on a plate on my desk 🤣🤣🤣
And the moral of this story is: don't drink tequila unless you're sure there isn't a scorpion in the bottle 🦂
