Chapter 5 : Jack

They were now seated quietly inside the OBGYN office with ongoing mothers , Artem being the only male he drew attention of all the women even the nurses . Eva was quite nervous she wanted her baby to be healthy it was her first pregnancy this was all new to her taking a look at artem he was calmly typing on his phone.

"Eva smith the doctors ready for you " the receptionist said smoothly pointing to the door

Getting up first artem helped her up giding her to the door with his hand on her waist , reviving a few envious stares from the ongoing mothers they entered the small room the nurse instructed Eva to sit on the chair and wait for the doctor while artem stood next to her .

"Hi , How are you guys today. I'm Dr Jones and I'll be your doctor for the 9 months that you are pregnant " the doctor spoke as he entered the room looking down his clipboard

"Artem ...Artem Monroe " The Doctor looked up at Artem then too me his face held an confused look

"Your wif......"

"Can we get on with the check up " he interrupted the doctor glaring at him

"Uh yeah.....um if you can lay back for me" he stuttered in fear what on earth was going on

Laying back as the doctor instructed he put the clear jelly on her stomach causing Eva too wince due too the coldness and Artem to glare

" I'm fine" She mouthed reassuringly rolling my eyes nodding he held my hand

Taking the wand looking object he glided it on her small baby bump looking at Artem she noticed he was glaring at the doctor the whole time oh boy

"Everything seems to look perfectly fine" he smiled showing us our little peanut on the monitor

"Do you guys want to know the sex" he asked nodding she eagerly replied yes

"Well you see that little part right there" he pointed to the private part "Thats definitely a baby boy"

Looking at Artem he smiled contently "I always wanted a son" he said looking down at me rubbing his hand over mind a kissing it

After everything was done he wiped her belly and gave them a sonogram picture of there baby getting up to go atrem stayed behind

"I'm just gonna have a word with the doctor princess" he smiled looking back at our doctor he looked completely terrified but Artem face held no rooms for arguments

"Okay I'll meet you outside" nodding She exited out the small room confused on to what was going on

"What do you know Dr. Jones " Atrem spoke calm He watched him shuffle from foot to foot from nervousness something he could always pick up on by a persons

"She seems like a nice girl....your gonna break her heart when she finds out....that your married and expecting....." The doctor stuttered  slowly

"She won't find out unless you tell her and if you do say goodbye to that" He pointed to his degree that was proudly hung knowing he could ruin someone life by just a phone call

"You.... You can't do...."

"Good day Dr. See you in 2 weeks " He interrupted leaving the room Artem walked back to the holding area to see Eva waiting patiently for him outside taking her hand they left the small building .

"What was that about" Eva asked her pretty face held worry she felt the tension in the doctor office

"Nothing princess " He simply answered opening her door for her entering the car she sighed

"It has to be something , he could even look at me with out shaking " she crossed her arm at his lack of information he was giving her

Starting the engine he couldn't help but smile amusingly at her driving to her apartment he hated having to leave her

"You sure you don't want to hang out in the office with me" he asked her pecking her lips gently trying to persuade her

"Yes.... Wait no " she she said moving away she noticed what he was doing he was trying to make her cave .

" I gotta set things right with jack" she said sadly she had planned for them to have a sit down and he would be here any minute she didn't like when he was mad at her for too long

" Fine but pick up my phone when I call" he grumbled starting his engine

Walking inside her apartment she was surprised to see him already there seated looking out the window
"Jack your here early , where's Claire" She asked nervously he looked mad which wasn't a good sign setting down her purse she took a seat next to him

She watched as he fisted his hand in his hair pulling angrily maybe something happen between him and Claire she thought quietly

"What's wrong jack" she scooted closer wanting to console her friend it was so quick she didn't even realize him grabbing her hand holding them In front of her

"Jack what are you doing your hurting me " she yelled trying to pull her hands out of his tight grasp

"You hurt me Eva " his voice slurred she now knew that he was drunk his eyes were bloodshot red as he starred at her

"Your drunk " she moved to pull her hands away but his grip only grew tighter she was terrified

" I love you Eva, I always loved you " he yelled pushing her she stood up looking down at her wrist she noticed the bluish colored bruises forming

"I love you too jack " she spoke softly he was her best friend ofcourse she did her word triggered something in him his eyes became raged with fury

"YOU DONT LOVE ME EVA" he yelled slamming his fist into the wall causing her too shake with fear "You don't love me like I love you "

"I ....I .... " she stutterd she didn't know what to do or say she never seen jack act like this
Where his word true did he really love her more than just friends

Coming toward her , her hands instantly wrapped around her belly "What about Claire Jack , Remember" she backed away slowly only to bump into something looking back she was cornered into a wall

"She's not your friend.....Eva this is all fake I did this to make you jealous no one wants to be friends with a slut like you " he slurred his eyes were telling the truth

Staring at her childhood friend Her eyes glossed over at his words grabbing her face digging his finger into the apples of her cheeks he pressed his lips hard against hers. fighting against him she kneed him backing away with a grunt to the floor she quickly ran out the apartment before he could get up.
