I sat in the bathtub as my children slept I looked at all my bruises and cuts and damaged wounds I contemplated on wether I wanted to live any longer all this pain I'm going through all the hurt I've been through all the evil that has been done to me I sank lower into the bathtub until my lips were under the water I closed my eyes and sunk lower until my head was under water i held my self under water so I wouldn't float to the top so I wouldn't make it out alive
"The only way you leaving me is in a body bag" Lucas words rang through my head as I lost oxygen by the second then I thought about my children they would have to live with there father motherless and continue on the cycles of abuse through there lives I returned to the surface and gasped for air as tears rolled down my face my curly hair was all over the place I brought my knees up to my chest and embraced myself I knew I wasn't gonna get out of this and I knew he would find me sooner or later
"Mommy?" Armani said as she walked into the bathroom
"Yes baby" I wiped my face and winced as I touched my black eye She gasped as she looked at my naked body in the bath tub
"Do you hurt?" I nodded my head at her she sat down next to the tub and kissed my forehead
"I love you mommy" Armani can be a handful sometimes and she gets it from me she's so stubborn but so sweet at the same time I hope she never grows out of it
I held her little hands in mine as she cupped my face tears streamed down my face as she looked at me with tears in her eyes
"Daddy's a bad guy now?"
"No sweetie daddy isn't a bad guy he just needs help"
"But he hurt you" she paused
"That's what the bad people do" I nodded at her comment
"Amari is awake now" she told me
"Okay I'll come out there in a second" I got out the tub and grabbed my towel
"Mani you know your birthday is in a few days" I smiled at her
"Yesss I'm gonna be 3!!!" She jumped up and down
"You're already three baby your gonna be 4" I laughed I put my underwear on and bra and grabbed my white tank top and nike shorts with a sweater
"Mommy can I take a picture of you!!" Armani ran up to me
"Yea?" I laughed
"But hold on" I walked in the bathroom and put my make up on as best as I could
"Okay now you can we're gonna go out today for your birthday to get you guys stuff and to get you some presents" I explained
"Okay gimme your phone" I grabbed my old old phone from my purse
"Here make sure you don't turn the location on"
"Okay" she grabbed my phone out my hand and took a picture of me as I posed

I smiled at the picture it was beautiful
"Thank you baby it's looks really nice" she smiled and hugged me I heard Armani fussing in the bed so I got off the floor and tend to him I changed his diaper and sat him up
"Hey mamas baby boy" I tickled him
"Mama" he tried to say through his giggles
"That's the right baby it's mama"
"I changed his clothes into a a white shirt and Nike shorts to match his mama I put on my fur slides and put on his nike slides and buckled him up
"Come on Armani you gotta get dressed to baby"
I put her hair in a cute slick bun with a orange scrunchie jean shorts and a black top it's fall now but today it was unusually hot outside I put my shades on to confer up the bruising left on my face
I grabbed my keys and the little bit of cash I had left grabbed my mask and walked out the apartment I strolled them in the twin set stroller I recently bought so it was less work
I walked in the elevator and positioned us in the corner of the elevator there was two men in the elevator with me one looked very familiar I tried to look at his facial features but it was hard to make out
"Excuse me" I spoke He looked at me
"Do I know you from somewhere?" He looked at me up and down I shifted my legs
"No I don't think so" he said His voice sounds so familiar then it clicked I turned my head to the other side of the elevator so he could no longer look at me
It was Three Lucas's best friend I knew he was looking for me but I didn't know he found me this early as soon as my stop came for the lobby I pushed the stroller until I felt I strong grip on my shoulder
"Let me go" I said quietly not wanting to cause a scene
"Nah ma it's time for you to go home now" he dragged me back into the elevator I tried to get out of his grip
"Please let me go" I pushed his arm
"Is there a problem here?" Someone asked
"No sir" he answered
"Ma'am? Is there a problem" the lady asked me He grabbed my arm tight I winced and shook my head no she walked away i sighed as I knew tonight would end very badly I looked in the stroller and they were fast asleep He walked me into the parking lot and showed my the car to get into and he told me we had to wait until Lucas got there and he was on his way to get us.
"Please don't take me back" I sobbed he sighed
"What do you expect me to do?" He paused
"He's my boss there's nothing I can do"
"I know I just- I just can't go back" I wiped my tears I mentally cursed at myself as I seen my makeup ruining
"Yo what happened" he turned my chin
"Him" I pointed to the window as Lucas walked towards the truck we were in
"God have mercy on me" I prayed as he inched closer to me
