The next morning was chaotic to say the very least. You were almost afraid to leave your chambers, worried you just might get swept away into a flurry of shouted orders and confusion. Today was certainly not a day to become involved with the servants and their many, many duties, so it seemed.

"I'll bring that to the young master when he's finished. He's using the phone at the moment, thank you Finny," Sebastian's muffled voice seeped into your room from the other side of your chamber door and you heard a few high pitched mutters that you assumed could only come from Finny himself as he retreated down the hall. Just then, a soft knock sounded at your door.

"Enter," you called out softly. Sleep was still evident in your voice but a small smile graced your lips.

It felt like it had been so long since you were able to go to a party, much less host one. This wasn't exactly a party so to say, but you could still feel the excitement of getting to meet new people bubble within your chest. The excitement only escalated as you remembered exactly what you and your brother had planned for this evening.

"I trust you slept well, my dear?" Sebastian said softly, seating himself at the edge of your bed just at your side.

You hummed lightly as the warmth of his gloved palm pressed into your cheek.

"Mhmm," you assured him.

It was true. You had been sleeping far better ever since you returned home. You had almost forgotten what it was like to wake up without sores or stiff muscles.

"It's time, my lady," Sebastian's voice was gentle as he dipped his head down to your neck, burying his slender nose in the crook of your shoulder. Yes, his behavior was unprecedented for a butler, but in his defense, you did have quite a lovely scent.

You turned your head away, granting him more access to your neck. You smiled as you felt his lips brush against your sensitive skin. The comparison of lips to rose petals often made within stories was not at all an a juxtaposition. The sensation left a pleasant, gentle tingle that caused your heart to flutter. You felt as if you could stay here just like this for hours.

Your eyes fluttered open, only to meet with the view from the window just next to your bed. The sky had been painted grey with thick, puffy clouds lined with a deep silver. It looked as if an incredible storm was going to befall the Phantomhive estate before the day's end. For now, you could only hope that your guests would be able to arrive safely and without any inconvenience. You were certainly that the Queen would be rather displeased if the party were to be postponed, or worse, cancelled. She was an understanding soul, but that would most likely look to her as a sign of defiance and disloyalty from the Phantomhive's. However, it would be rather pitiful if your guests each arrived soaked and covered in mud. What a ghastly sight that would be.

"Sometimes I'd rather stay in bed all day," you muttered under your breath, suddenly feeling the excitement that today's events offered vanish.

Sebastian chuckled deeply. "Would I be allowed to accompany you, my lady?"

His cocky smile told you all that you needed to know: he had gotten far too confident. Or perhaps he was always this way. It was rather entertaining when you were in the mood to play hard to get, to say the least.

"I wouldn't mind," you sighed, hoping to have caught him off guard. "Just don't let Ciel know you're in here. He's still not allowed you back in," you smile cheekily.

"Too late for that," Ciel appeared within your room's threshold and Sebastian rose from his place next to you, not at all bothering to cover his previous affairs, as he bowed.
