I dedicate this to all my wonderful TikTok followers and supporters who encouraged me to make my edit series into a written novel. I am still amazed and incredibly grateful for the love you guys give me.

I have a few things to say before I begin,

This story will be based on, and similar to, my ongoing Draco TikTok series on my account @mrmaisie, but with a more in depth approach, as I can actually show more of Y/N's point of view without the restriction of showing only what the movies show (and with a little more humour here and there because honestly, we all need to smile every now and again).

There are a few individuals that took inspiration from my TikTok series and wrote their own adaptations or inspired works but this is simply the story as how I imagined it and wanted it to play out from the very start.

I didn't quite know how to write this because I usually prefer to write in a third person narrative but given the fact my series on TikTok is Y/N centred, I have gone with that approach.

This is inspired by and based on but not affiliated with the Harry Potter series of books and movies.

This story is rated mature, but will include the theme of death, depictions of the Battle of Hogwarts and other incidents, as well as other adult themes.

Whilst I wouldn't say there are any triggers, this story, as shown by the name, included themes of death, violence and other related themes. If there is a specific trigger I will highlight it at the beginning of the chapter it appears in.

I have tried my best to make most things fit canonically with how the novels and movies are and with how certain characters would behave, but with some exceptions to fit my narrative.

Feel free to change the pronouns, I simply used she/her to fit with my tiktok series, but as it is a Y/N centred story, you, the reader can make any changes to how you would like to read it. The only restrictions in place are, Y/N is a slytherin student from a line of purebloods, but does not have the same prejudices towards muggleborns as some of the other pureblood students do. Other than that, Y/N's features are not described so you can insert yourself into the narrative.

Keep in mind that I am British, so I will write in British English.

I also want to remind everyone I do not support JKR. I love all of you, no matter how you identify, and Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.

And lastly, this is my first ever attempt at writing a fiction, let alone one this long so please keep that in mind, but I hope I have done my vision justice.
