Someone who is transgender is a person who changes from their sex gender, to the opposite gender. A female may have body dysmorphia from her chest, and feel more comfortable with a flat, masculine like chest. A male may feel more comfortable wearing long dressed because it hides the look of their private area. In order to feel more comfortable these people would call themself the opposite gender, some may go as far and having surgery to change their sex.
Note: You can not add sex to gender, if someone is transgender, they are trans. End of story.
