LAUREN WAS NEVER a 'Dear Diary' person, but to deal with the loneliness it had actually proven to be a comforting thing to write to herself. Since her first year at Hogwarts, she had had the same black journal. Although she for a long time just drew almost every class and break of the day each semester it didn't seem to be even half-full. Looking back at her old pages she was reminded of moments in her school year through these sloppy sketches. The picture of Draco with a beak always seemed to put a faint smile on her face. Now it was time to write down her adventures with words, so she started writing.

I'm not sure of the date, but it's sometime in August. I'm currently inside a train sitting in a pile of hay waiting for a proper time to jump off before someone notices that I'm not allowed to be here. My escape didn't go quite as I planned it—if it did, then I'd be sitting in a chair right now with a legal ticket to be here.
I can't understand how they knew I was going to escape last night, but a Death Eater got in my way. My clothes are all dry now, though. Can't believe I was able to fall asleep on this harshly moving floor in soaked clothes, but I really needed to rest. I just realized that I never really rested at St. Mungo's. I just closed my eyes and worked on my plan.
Sleep is truly a wonder, I bet Dumbledore would agree. How can such a weak state make us so much stronger? I'll make sure to update when I arrive at my destination.

I assume you wonder where she is going. Now, I could tell you about her plan because I've heard it, but I won't. Lauren's priority wasn't school and it surely wasn't her health. Somewhere in the end her priority was her friends because they are her family. But right now, she couldn't help them or protect them. She couldn't be near them. Something inside her was begging to be let out, just like Snape had said. And it was something evil. So, until she had figured out what's wrong with her and how to control herself, she would be a danger to her friends.

So her plan shortly explained, is to find the answers she needed to fix the formula; herself.

The train took her almost exactly where she wanted to be. She sneaked out when the train had come to a halt and then she rushed through the station and followed the map inside her head.

After walking through Dover she reached the harbour. The line to the fairy was crowded and it seemed like a small boat. That would've been the safest way over the sea but she had no money to buy a ticket, and she wanted to get to France as quickly as possible. She walked over to the fishermen that were preparing their boat for shipping.

A tall man with blonde hair stood aside looking at his watch and then shouting orders to the other men.

Lauren walked over to him and smiled shyly. "Excuse me, Sir."
