The Bite-Chapter 4

Recap:
"Well I want to be friends" Draco said smiling a soft smile at Harry

Harry looked up surprise etched in his face. He then quickly looked down obviously ashamed about something "you don't want to be friends with me" The small boy said looking down. Draco raised and eyebrow "oh really and why is that?" He asked softly. Harry sighed

"okay I'll tell you but don't tell a single soul" Harry said seriously Draco nodded in agreement. Harry took a deep breath be for speaking again "I was bitten by a werewolf this past summer" Harry said closing his eyes waiting for the yelling. But it never came instead he felt Draco hug him. "That doesn't mean a thing" Draco whispered to Harry.

About an hour later he walked back to griffindor tower. He got into the common room and sat in a chair that was in the corner. He sighed and pulled out the letter from Remus it read:

"Dear Harry I know it may be stressful but please hang in. I would personally inform your head of house about your predicament. Harry during a full moon go to the forbidden forest or the shrieking shack. Also get Minerva to have professor Snape make wolvesbane it really helps during the moon. But most importantly make sure no person is near you

Harry sighed softly. He then put his letter in his pillow case. 'I'll go to mcGonnagall tomorrow before class' Harry thought as he slowly drifted off to sleep.

Harry was running he could hear something behind him. He looked behind and saw a wolf running towards him the wolf tackled him he screamed in pain-

Harry woke up in a cold sweat. Ron was glaring at him "Thanks Potter you woke us up with you 'nightmares' hope your happy" Harry sighed and mumbled an apology and started to get ready.

Harry went into he common room. There he found Hermione "Hey mione do you know if mcGonagall's office hours are open?" He asked she nodded politely "yeah are you going to talk to her about your predicament?" She asked. Harry nodded and grabbed his book bag

Once Harry had eaten a bit of breakfast he headed to the transfiguration room. There he found mcGonagall grading papers. Harry gently knocked on the door "come in" he heard the transfiguration professor call. So he went in with a sigh "Professor I need to tell you something" Harry said looking down. McGonagall looked up obviously confused

"well go on Potter what have you done this time" She said Harry sighed "this summer I was-er bittenbyawerewolf" Harry said so fast mcGonagall couldn't understand him "Potter slow down and repeat what you just said" she said softly
The raven haired boy sighed softly "I was bitten by a werewolf this past summer" Harry said hoping the tears in his eyes wouldn't fall.

McGonagall was taken aback then she smiled softly. She then walked over to her fire place "would you mind if I call Professor Snape here?" She asked Harry simply nodded. Then a few moments later Snape stepped outside of the fire place "why did you call me Minerva?" Snape asked as he saw Harry looking at the floor awkwardly

"Well Harry needs to tell you something as he needs a certain potion brewed for him" McGonagall said and Harry sighed. Snape raised his eyebrows and Harry looked up and gulped "w-well I-I er-was bitten by a werewolf this past summer sir and I need you to please brew me the wolvesbane potion" Harry said getting more uncomfortable by the second. Snape simply nodded

"Very well Potter but this doesn't mean I will excuse you from assignments"Snape said sneering at the poor boy. The boy in question only nodded "sir did the deadline for me to take the potion already pass since the full moon is in two days?" Harry asked nervously. Snape considered the boys question

"yes Potter you have now if you are done with your stupid little questions I have class in 20 minutes" Snape said flooing back to his classroom

Harry sighed he had transfiguration first anyway so he decided to sit were he usually sat. McGonagall softly smiled at the poor boy as he read a book. Soon the rest of the class filled in and Draco decided to sit right next to Harry. Harry looked up "oh hey Draco why aren't you sitting with the other slytherin's?" Harry asked. Draco just shrugged and pulled out his supplies he needed. Harry did the same and copied what was on the bored

Harry had managed to get through the whole day without talking to Ron. So when dinner came around and the only open seat was next to Ron. Harry scoffed and decided to sit outside but soon got lost in the beauty of the lake.

Draco walked outside to find Harry and found him staring into the black lake. "Harry what's wrong with you and Weasley you've been avoiding him all day" Draco said Harry looked away sadly

"Draco when you found me crying in the astronomy tower you weren't the first person I told the first person I told was lupin then I told Ron and Hermione. Ron yelled at me and called me a freak" Harry said letting a few tears escape from his eyes

Draco gently wiped his tears away. "Well if Weasley can't get past the fact your a werewolf then that's his fault because your so much more than just a werewolf and your not and will never be a freak" Draco said which made Harry smiled and hugg Draco around the waist.

Once Harry realized what he was doing he quickly pulled back blushing "s-sorry Draco I couldn't control myself" Harry said apologizing. This made Draco smile "Harry it's fine" he said helping Harry to his feet.

As Harry and Draco walked back to the castle Harry saw Weasley and quickly went behind Draco to hide. Draco sighed and pushed past Weasley. Ron got annoyed "OI POTTER TO MUCH OF A WIMP TO TALK TO ME WITHOUT COWERING BEHIND MALFOY" he shouted which terrified Harry

Harry did  the only thing that made sense to him: he ran. He didn't stop running until he was right outside the gryffindor common room. Harry sighed and sat down in front of the painting that held the fat lady.

"Are you gonna go in or not?" He heard the snarky voice of the painting say. Harry looked back at her and rubbed his eyes "Yeah" he said he then whispered the password
