Technoblade stepped off the warp path calmly, breath hot against the mask. That woman he had met earlier on the way back from Minecraft was way too cheery. He shuddered. There was no way anyone can be that happy and not also be evil.

Putting the earlier encounter out of his mind, he walked down the empty and unkempt path to his destination. Within minutes, he was facing a towering yet unfinished building, a messy programming project tossed out into the internet for anyone to find and perhaps change.

Techno smirked, for he was that somebody, and this program looked very promising.

Of course, there was also the very likely possibility that this was actually some sort of malware that'll destroy his Local home and leave him homeless, but he's already taken enough safety measures and was far beyond caring.

He approached the looming building's main door. Techno ran a connection device over the door and a translucent interface popped up. His eyes flittered through the information that he already saw the first time around, but now, equipped with fresh knowledge on the workings of Minecraft, he's going to run the program.

He tapped the interface, and the door pixelated and faded away. The reception desk was of course abandoned and derelict. He walked up to it anyways and tapped it once for another bigger interface to pop up before him. There were a plethora of options, but none of them would actually start the program up. He put his face in his hands and sighed. He was about to close the interface when he noticed a little indicator in the corner, flashing. He narrowed his eyes.

Is the program already running?

He typed a few things into the interface to terminate the program, so that he can run it again. He pressed the enter button.

Nothing happened.

He frowned under his mask.

He tried again, and got the same result. Angrily huffing, he got out a digital toolkit to try to figure out what was wrong. More interfaces popped up, and he waited for a connection to establish.

"Connection Denied." the toolbox beeped out blithely. Techno growled, getting frustrated. He tweaked a few things and tried again.

"Ĉ̵̤̲Ỏ̷̗̖̈̃Ǹ̶̥̼̙ ̶̯̔̽Ṉ̴̰̑̚͝Ȩ̸̰̜̝̎̑͒C̶̱̝̒̒͠ͅT̷̬̳̲̑Í̶̝̩̠̺̎O̸̬̿N̴̞̂͌̀ ̴͓̙̩͂̓̐ͅD̵͖̮̖̓̍́E̶͌͗̇͗͜ ̵̼̜̺̃͂N̸̠͐͝I̸̟̬̍͆̕E̷͖͕̭̻͐̍͝D̸͔̿͗̄.̸͇̊̾" the toolbox screeched, making him jump back in surprise.

What the heck is wrong with that thing? He thought, bemused.

There was a sudden change in the atmosphere.

Within seconds, alarms started to blare. Techno looked around wildly, trying to figure out why. The pixelated front door was back in place and there he was frantically tapping away at all the open interfaces, trying to stop the alarm and let him out of the building.

It's almost like the code is sentient! He thought wildly.

There was the sensation of something tugging at his head that was very familiar to him.

He was being pulled into a virtual environment! Many programs used virtual environments, most notably video games that need immersion.

He squeezed his eyes shut, and when he opened them, he was already immersed. He found himself floating in a strange glitched environment, still clutching onto his toolbox. Mumbling obscenities under his breath, he tried to force the environment to close.

It didn't. His breath hitched.

He's heard many horror stories being trapped inside a virtual environment of a broken program, but always thought that the chances of it happening to him were practically nonexistent.

Palpable panic was rising in his chest as he tried again and again to get out.

He couldn't.

He was stuck.
