"I miss my family so much," Jasmine pouted sadly. She looked exactly like a lost puppy that it was impossible not to pinch her puffed-up cheeks.

"What, are you already tired of us?" Emily said, smirking.

The three of us chuckled as we walked towards our next and last class of the day. Stepping out to the Middle Courtyard, I shivered from the sudden drop of temperature and halted.

"That is heartbreaking news, Jasmine. It's only been a couple of weeks and you're already ready for our friendship to be broken?" I tell her dramatically, placing my hand on my chest.

The Hufflepuff blushed, flustered, and shook her head, trying to defend herself. "Of course not! It's just that. . ."

"We're just messing with you, weirdo," Emily laughed out loud. "Anyways, see you, Vivienne. Even though Professor Slughorn is a good teacher, I don't think he would be joyed about his students being late to his class."

Smiling in understanding, I replied, "See you guys later."

Waving, I quickly entered Classroom 1B, sighing in relief. Dropping my bag and bringing out my essentials, I seated myself at the front of the class.

"Hello, Ms Pearce." I looked up to see Dumbledore smiling, his eyes shining under his half-moon glasses. "How was your previous class?"

"Good," I replied briefly. "But I am tired."

The wizard chuckled and prepared our class. Other students started to fill in the room, eventually, the whole first-year Gryffindors seated themselves. Alice Wright sat next to me, smiling in greeting. Returning, I readied myself for the class.

"Good afternoon, students. I would be giving you back your essays you have handed to me last week." At the mention of that, everybody started talking to their friends while Dumbledore started to pass them out, giving each of them a comment on the writing they've done. When my turn came, he handed me the parchment with a bright smile. "You have done very well, Ms Pearce."

Studying the score on my essay, I almost doubted if the simple one letter of the word was affected by my dyslexia.

An O.

Looking back at the professor, I stared at him with a slightly opened mouth from shock. I didn't know what I was supposed to do since I have never in my life got the highest score. Closing my mouth in embarrassment, I grinned sheepishly and uttered out, "Really?"

He nodded reassuringly and moved onto the next person. You will be learning great things at Hogwarts, my daughter. I tucked the essay inside my bag as the class started.

"Now students, for today I would like you to. . ."

Rest of his words were fuzzy as I recalled back the scene from the Forbidden Forest.

"Greek mythology, as in Zeus, Poseidon, and Ha—" I covered Tom's mouth as the names slipped from his lips.

"Don't say those names so light-hearted, Tom. They are powerful, more than you realize," I said agitatedly. Letting my hand fall to my side, I pinched the space between my eyes. "Look, you really can't tell anybody about this, alright? If all of the mortals in Hogwarts discover this information, the gods will eliminate them all at once."

"Come on, they can't be that powerful . . . right?" Abraxas shrank when lightning cracked from above us, echoing across the darkness.

"They are Celestial beings, Abraxas. They can turn an army into golden dust with the snap of their fingers if they want." Closing my eyes to calm my nerves, I rubbed my face tiredly as sleep started to fog in and I couldn't hold back a yawn from escaping. "Can we talk about this later? Because I just want to go to bed and sleep."
