Sleeves rolled up to the elbow.
His gelled back ginger hair was scruffy.
His thumb ran roughly across your cheek, the sensation making the wound on your face sting.

"Hux, that hurts." You mumbled, digging your nails into the medical bed beneath you.

"Then maybe you should be more careful when you're in the field. Ren should know to keep his student in sight at all times."

"I was in his vision." You rolled your eyes at the generals antics. He hated Kylo Ren, your mentor and friend, with a passion. "Why are you even here, general?" You moved your eyes up from the ground and over his black clothed body to his blue eyes burning holes into you.

"Because, L/N, Ren likes to get you two into trouble but as soon as you're injured, he'll drop you to go and train more."

"And? I can take care of myself." Hux's words hurt you - you knew that Kylo did care about you but he'd leave it up to the medical droids to make sure you were okay when you were hurt. It was as if he didn't want to be burdened with taking care of you.

"Commander, I'm very aware you're able to take care of yourself but sometimes you need someone to help you." Hux let his hand fall to his side as he walked out of your view. He came back with a bowl of warm water, a towel and a bottle of disinfectant. "I want to help you." The ginger general clarified. You nodded your head, letting him grab your chin with his bare hands - you'd noted that he'd taken off his gloves to handle you.

Hux did that often, if you were at a First Order event, he'd take his gloves off and ask you to dance.
If you were training with blasters, he'd get close to you - close enough so you could feel his breath on the back of your neck as he adjusted your stance.
Hands gripping your waist and he'd make the slow movement down to your hips to push them slightly into a more comfortable position.
His hands would linger on your shoulders, his grip was tight but not harmful and he'd lean in to whisper soft commands.
His actions would drive you insane - Kylo sensed it and told you to forget about your feelings - the first order was more important; your cause to wipe out the Jedi was more important than an incompetent general who 'just wanted to get into your pants!'

You could feel Hux's warm breath on your cold cheek as he softly dabbed the dried blood from your jaw.

"He does care about me." You mumbled. Hux let out a soft yet frustrated sigh and shifted so he had one of his legs in between yours.

The general turned your chin towards his face and inspected your E/C eyes. He stayed silent. He didn't say anything, but you could feel the disappointment radiating off of him.

"I care more." Hux muttered under his breath. It was something that you'd heard before, he'd tell you he cared about you and your well-being any time Kylo lacked in that department but this felt different. Hux had finished with cleaning the cut on your cheek and he winced at the bruises on your necks and all along your chest and abdomen. Hux sighed and took a step back, smiling softly at you. "I'll always be here to help. And it looks like your only open wound I've taken care of." You shifted and felt the bones in your body ache.

"I don't think I can stand by myself." You groaned out, going to jump off the medical bed but you almost crumpled beneath your own weight. Hux was quick though, he slid an arm underneath your shoulders and used the other to steady your hips. You looked up at him and couldn't help your small smile.

"I've got you."
