Chapter 7: Sorry

     "It's alright, you just lost your temper," Daring said comfortingly. "You can find her later and apologize."

    "That's just it, I don't WANT to apologize," Cerise cried. She blew her nose into his shoulder.

    "Why not?"

    "Because... She... I... I don't know. She didn't even apologize, so why should I?"

    "You should because it's the high road. No matter what she does, she is still your family, and she ought to be given as many chances as is necessary to help her see that you care for her."

    "How do you know that I care for her?"

    "Well, for one, the mere fact that you are beating yourself up for this shows you still hold her in respect as family." Daring wiped the tears from Cerise's eyes and put his arm around her lovingly. "How about this. I'll have some guards track down Ramona as quickly as possible and give her an invitation. You can say sorry at the wedding."

    "Ok." Cerise smiled up at her prince. "What did I ever do to deserve you?"

    "I could ask the same thing of you." Daring smiled and held Cerise tightly in his arms. Silently, he told himself never to let Cerise go.
