9: I Wont Let You Die

"For you to suck all the magic out of Liz" Damon says still holding me "and if I don't?" Kai asks and Damons grip tightens on me "I'll kill her" he says and I immediately start to squirm around trying to get out of his grip but he wouldn't budge. "you wouldn't" Kai says my breathing starting to quicken

"What makes you so sure" Damon says and I looked at Kai my eyes asking what the hell he thought he was doing "because she's your friend" he says and I held my breath looking up at Damon as he looks down at me "yea well Liz is a better friend" he says and I start to squirm again

"Damon" I say my voice getting louder "so it's either you help me or I kill your little girlfriend" he says and I start to kick at his legs. "please tell me your joking" I grumble before he shakes his head "sorry Lila I can't let Liz die" he says and we both look at Kai "fine" Kai says and I let out a breath as Damon's grip loosened

"Then let's go" damon says shoving me out the door leaving Kai to follow.

Once we were at the hospital we found Elena and being the little desperate bitch she is she didn't try to save me in fact she went right along with it. Honestly I would already saved myself but the magic Kai had left from the spell wasn't much in fact it's already gone so I'm magic less and screwed

We stood in front of Liz me on one side with Elena and Damon while Kai was on the other side scanning me he walks over to the sink washing his hands "all right I need a 12-gauge needle stat" he says walking back over to Liz. Is he kidding me! Damon could kill me and he's playing pretend doctor!?

"I don't know what I'm gonna do with it but I need it" he says smirking at me "your not a doctor so stop playing games, cuz I am a vampire and I will rip your head off if you screw this up" Elena threatens making me laugh fairly loud and everyone turned to look at me "what's so funny?" Damon asks and I look around at them

Elena and Damon were confused but Kai looked amused "c'mon I can't be the only one who found that funny?" I chuckle "I mean it's Elena, like no offense but I've heard about all the dumb shit you've done and honestly I can't take you seriously" I say still chuckling before Damon tightens his grip

Forcing me to stop and choke on my own breath making Kai flinch forward slightly. I don't think the others noticed but I sure did "just get on with it and suck the magic out of her" Damon says and Kai places his hands on Liz's wrist and neck he starts sucking the magic out of her and her heart rate increases

"Is it working?" Damon asks "I have no idea" Elena says before they both turn which means I also turned to see Jo walking in her face showing how scared and shocked she was "what the hell is going on?" She asks and already I can tell there's no way they'll know what to say

"What is he doing here?" Her voice sounding slightly more panicked as Elena starts to spin back and forth looking at Liz then Jo Damon following her lead making me slightly dizzy "hey sis kinda busy... Be with you in a jiffy" Kai says smirking at her then looking at me a worried look in his eyes.

Then he looks down at Liz and I do too what is he trying to tell me? I study her carefully she must be in so much pain I mean she's already been stuck with a needle and drained of blood and now she's having to put up with the pain of being drained of magic. I wonder if she's gonna pass out............

She can't take it

She's too old she can't take it she'll die if Kai keeps going! I look up at Kai my face surly showing panic and he just shrugs at me mouthing 'I won't let you die for her' my eyes widen and I squirm a little before Damon walks off with me. I totally forgot they were in the room and they were still talking

I should've been listening it could've been important, then again it could've been a bunch of gibber jabber that no one could give a fuck about either way I shouldn't have tuned them out.. I never tune anyone out... its just Kai is so distracting I can't seem to help it... Ugh he's such a pain... but he is technically saving me

So I guess he isn't that much of a pain... either that or he really is just bipolar.. yup definitely bipolar. Damon walked us into a room with Jo I guess he has some explaining to do "have you actually lost your mind?" Jo asks doing that weird thing with her hands she always does when she's stressed

Like she stretches her fingers out and has her hands straight against her body I remember seeing her do that over countless times before the whole thing with Kai going bananas and killing everyone. Damon shushes her closing the door behind us "hey listen you told me that Liz was gonna die in 8 hours if the magic kept doing its thing, he steals magic

You made it to Med school I figured you would know where I was going with this" He says and she eyes me her anger never fading "If you think Kai is doing this out of the goodness of his heart I can assure you he doesn't have one. What's the price?" She asks and even though I can't see Damon's face I know he's smirking

"There is none" he simply states making Jo open and close her mouth trying to find what to say "what?" She finally managed to say "Jo its me he's doing this to keep me alive" I seethe in frustration pointing to Damon's fairly muscular arm around my neck her eyes go wide "What!?" She shouts and Damon flinches slightly

"Your willing to put Lila's life in danger! Not to mention in the hands of that psycho!" She screams at him "relax he's doing it, alright there's no way he's gonna let her die besides-" he was cut of by a snapping sound and suddenly his arm lost its grip and he fell to the floor behind me I turned to see Kai appear smiling at me "magical neck snap, never gets old" he says towards Jo

"Told you I wouldn't let you die" he says to me and my breath hitches "now as for you sister isn't this the part where you start running?" He asks and I turn to see Jo's scared expression "I've spent I whole life running from you, I'm not running anymore" she says and his smile widens

He reaches out taking her wrist and walking towards the door before turning to me "are you coming? I mean unless you wanna stay hear with the people who tried to kill you" he says and I look at him then at Damon laying dead on the ground well temporarily. I thought he was my friend

Well some hell of a friend he is

"Let's go" I mutter walking behind them as we exit the room
