I drove back to mine and Kai's cabin and as I did I noticed a car I didn't recognize parked in front of it. "that is definitely not normal" I think aloud before parking next to it and getting out making my way to the door I opened it walking cautiously inside "Kai?" I call out hoping he would answer and explain everything

But he was no where to be seen I walked towards our room and saw him tied up to a chair his mouth covered by tape my eyes widened and my breathing sped up "holy shit Kai what happened?" I whispered rushing towards him starting to untie his hands as he struggled against his restraints I heard the door close and my head snapped back to see my cousin?

"Scarlet?" I ask as she makes her way over to me and I stand up in front of Kai "hello Lila" she says waving her small hand at me "what are you-" "tell me your kidding, are you serious him? That's who you choose? Our psycho leader!?" She screams at me making my eyes furrow with confusion "what?" I ask and she laughs

"That's right they never told anyone but Josh" she says and I look at her unsure of how I should be reacting to all of whatever this is "Your parents were supposed to but they were killed, so why don't I tell you c'mon Lila sit" she instructed motioning to my bed "yea no I don't think so Scar not until I untie Kai and you leave"

I seethe not having the patience to play her little game anymore she always did this even when we were little she kept secrets and then used them to manipulate all of us even her parents. "Sorry little cuz that's just not gonna happen" she snickers "why not?" I ask and she laughs "you remember the elders of our coven right?"

She asks and I nod hesitantly "well they were supposed to pick one of us from birth to be one of the Fatum Eros" she says and I tilt my head "I'm sorry could you repeat that?" She says and I shake my head slowly "why did you think I was always nice to the elders? It wasn't because I liked the old bags, I wanted to be one of the Fatum Eros and not to find true love and be tied down to one sorry excuse of a person but to have the power that comes with it" she says a crazed look in her eyes "what power?" I ask her and she looks at me like I'm stupid

"Don't give me that look Scar I don't know about this and I'm 100% sure you're not supposed to know either especially sense you never said you were supposed to, you only said the elders and Josh new which means you got it out of one of them by threatening them because that's just what you and your bitchy attitude do" I spat out and she narrowed her eyes at me

She asks referring to my mean comment and I narrow my eyes back "I don't know why don't you ask my tied up boyfriend" I seethe she eyes him then looks back at me "right well can I finish my story yet or?" She says running a hand through her hair. And I scoff crossing my arms

"You're going to anyways" I say and she flashes me a fake smile "so like I was saying being one of the Fatum Eros means you get to have unlimited magic which your bf already had but now you get too. It also means that you both can only love each other no one else and that your immortal" she finishes and my mouth drops open

"What" I manage to say looking at get my expression obviously being shocked and confused "you heard me little cousin" she said reaching out for my hand and pulling me towards her. In a state of shock I allow myself to dragged towards Scarlet "that's why I have to get you away from him" she mutters at me and signals at Kai "away from him?" I ask and she nods "the elders don't want Kai to have immortality Lila

You were meant to be one of the Fatum Eros but he was a choice it can still change there's still time" she says and I look at her like she's crazy because she is "what? No! I scream back and she takes a step closer to me "what are you talking about of course you are!" She exclaims and I shake my head vigorously "I killed my parents Scarlet! I chopped them up and burned them the last time I visited" I said boldly not caring about what she might say to our coven. "what?" For once she was the one in shock and I had full control of the conversation

"You heard me loud and clear cousin, he's not the only psycho in this room" I smirk at her confused face before she reaches out to stroke my cheek as if to say she still considers me family but before her cold fingers could reach my skin I grasped her hand and shoved it back at her. "don't" I growl and she stares at me all the horror and fear clear in her face

"Tell me your lying" she whispers and I smile at her "I'm not" I say and she holds the bridge of her nose just like she always did when she was mad "why?" She says through gritted teeth "well see I told them about my magic sucking and how I kept it a secret for years using Liv's magic as my own, my mother tried to kill me and my father said he would banish me because that's what abominations deserve"

"So I killed them" I finished and she stared at me still mad but surprised and shocked as well "what? No smart comments? What's wrong cat got your tongue?" I tease and she looks down at Kai "this is your fault" she seethes at him and I tilt my head in confusion looking at Kai who was just as confused "she was a sweet little girl before she met you"

Scarlet adds before grabbing my lamp and smashing it on my head in the blink of an eye "what the fuck!" I scream in pain as I lost my balance and fell down I looked up at her and she looked down at me in disgust "coven before family" she said loud enough for me to hear only before raising her foot and letting it fall down with all her force on my stomach

I fell down completely coughing like a maniac as the world slowly faded away I wish that lamp had knocked me out so that she wouldn't have kicked me I don't know whats worse the burning sensation on my head with the cool dense liquid running down my scalp or the feeling of my now bruising stomach aching in pain

Soon enough I won't have to worry about what's worse sense I'm 100% sure I'm going to pass out especially sense I'm seeing blurry and the world seems to be fading away maybe that's just from the lack of air? I mean when she kicked me I swear I forgot how to breathe I continued coughing until I lost control and fainted into unconsciousness

Kai's Pov

I squirmed and struggled as I tried to scream before I heard Scarlet mutter something at Lila and then kick her in the stomach i screamed and struggled even more. why can't I use my magic to fry this bitch inside out and them heal Lila

oh god she's coughing like crazy

Scarlet looks up at me her eyes filled with rage and disgust "guess who you're never gonna see again?" She teases and I pull against the ropes trying to utter a spell "Dont try honey those ropes are made specifically to neutralize witch powers" she says and I stopped trying to set her on fire. Well that just about explains it

"Why did you have to be the one she fell for? You of all people? She was meant to be with Josh! That's why he knew! They were meant to be! And then you came and turned her crazy!" She screams at me before leaning towards me and ripping the tape off of my mouth "what do you have to say for yourself" she spits out at me

"Her and Josh were not meant to be!" I scream in her face, I might be tied up and pissed beyond belief but if anything is going to get through that thick skull of hers it would be that she is mine and not mother fucking Josh's "she's mine and I love her and she loves me so suck it up because it's not changing!" I scream at her and she leans back away from me

"You really do love her don't you?" She asks in a monotone and I nod hesitantly "then me taking her away form you is going to hurt all the more" she adds crouching down and grabbing Lila's now limp body and throwing her over her shoulder looking me in the eye "you will not have the power that comes with her love, and she will not have the psycho that comes with yours"
