A/N: sorry for all the gaps but it generally follows the canon events. I didn't see the point in rewriting what many (if not all) of you have already read/watched. Without further ado, welcome to chapter twenty two.

Pain.

That was what he could feel.

Pain clouding his adrenaline rushed mind.

It spiked from his arms, his head, his pounding chest. His worn feet, his aching legs. Everything hurt.

But most of all, his heart.

--------------

His feet pounded against the ground, his arms and shirt ruined, his hair flying, heart racing.

Kacchan.

They were after Kacchan.

And him of course, but our hero is blindly selfless.

Hero.

That's what he was now.

He had saved someone.

And if no one knew, he was fine with that.

He began to feel the ache in his legs, the absolute tear in his arms and the blood slowly seeping down his face. The adrenaline was wearing off.

No.

I have to keep going.

A coarse, high shrill echoed through the ashen forest.

Was that a villain?

Was it a hero?

Whoever it was, they were in pain.

He didn't care if it was one of Shigaraki's minions.

Izuku changed course.

He is a hero now, after all.

He's going to save anyone he can.

Both black and white.

And the White king turned silver.

A beautiful shimmering silver.

For everyone to see.

The silver hero.

The silver king.

--------------

"K-kacchan..."

-

"Compress"

-

"GET IT!"

Izuku scrambled, scream ripping from his throat as adrenaline was again coursed through his veins. His arms sent fluctuating ripples of pain through his goal centred mind.

They're going to take Kacchan.

I have to save him.

"Todoroki!"

The dual wielder lunged toward the cyan marble. Only to have his outstretched hand knocked aside as that upsettingly familiar leathery skin grasped the marble.

"Dabi..."

The man said nothing.

"Confirm it." The scarred man commanded.

A hurt Compress merely clicked his finger and retreated into the swirling mass of purple.

Dabi followed.

With Katsuki Bakugo in his grasp.

Those wide scarlet eyes stared back as his panting, stock still peers watched as he was taken.

Izuku screamed before scrambling up again to run after the two.

Multiple yells followed him, but the blonde continued to sink into the portal.

And before Izuku could reach, fuelled on pure emotion, the vortex of black-purple disappeared.

I lost Kacchan.

I couldn't save Kacchan.

I got him back... and then I lost him.

Izuku let out a guttural scream.

This was from neither the pain of his body or the exhaustion filling him with every passing moment, but the pure anger and grief of losing his brother.

The brother he barely got back.

And maybe, below the surface of the world, hidden away in the underworld, three howls joined the chorus of that scream.

The silver King clattered to the floor.

A/N:

A shorter chapter because I love suspense.

Any who, I don't have much else to say.

Thank you for the comments!

-          Shadow-san out

The swirl of a portal formed behind him.

No call could alert him.

His cry was cut short.

As leathery hands gripped his neck.

And he was pulled through the portal.

His peers' screams falling on deaf ears.

The Silver King.

Was Taken.
