~Seventy Degrees~
(Song for reading: Moral of the Story-Ashe)
Someday, the world will stop moving.
Time will falter,
and boisterous noise will turn to nothing.Someday, we'll all look up.
Irises will shine with stars,
and colors will erupt.Someday, minds will still.
Gentle breaths will be heard in every corner of the Earth,
and watchful pelicans will raise their bills.Oh, how we long for that day.
The day Flora and Fauna will rest,
love and hate will leave their nest,
and we'll find the facets we hide the best.Someday, all traffic will halt.
Jams will quell,
and existential melodies caught.Someday, airborne planes will land.
Souls will reunite,
and those broken will stand.Someday, people will mean what they say.
Words will burn,
but guilt won't relay.Oh, how the longing for that day grows.
The day the drowned will resurface,
the pressured will feel purpose,
and lost postcards will liven the nerveless. The day watercolor clouds will flood the sky,
wishes will be made without asking why,
and rusty wings will fly.A day when those in control will be unwound,
and the frayed will be found.Someday, our hearts will be loud.
True colors will blossom,
colors storm clouds cannot shroud.Someday, it'll be seventy degrees with a slight breeze.
The sun will wrap itself around Fahrenheit and Celsius,
and the world will finally be at ease.~end~
