~Stained Glass~
Caleb Weaver & Ruby Amann (2017)

How can you see through glass
That is shattered on the floor
Look through the window
And see my heart so sore

You keep trying to put the pieces together
But you only cut your hands
Sometimes it's best to leave things
Even when you can't understand

I watch you from this window
Wishing you were mine
I know that I could help you
If you'd ever give me the time

I can't wash out the blood stain
But I can close the wound
For even in the midst of ashes
I've seen how the flowers bloomed

You are beauty in pain
Perseverant and pure
But I see how you ache
From this hurt you endure

So come to my window
I'll hold your scarred hand
I love every damaged inch of you
With all that I am

Hello there, I hope that you are having a good start to your week. This poem circulates around many topics for me, but I am very curious about how it hit for you. If you would like, feel free to write in the comments if and what you thought/felt when reading this. I'm quite curious, since everyone's mind is so outstandingly different!

Thanks for readin'!

There comes a point in our lives where we all shatter.

However, it's who we choose to rebuild us

that makes the difference.

Not the number of pieces we broke into.
