𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 everyone had left the party, the only ones that remained where the people who had a room in the building. Lexie had yet to meet nearly all of them. Steve had left to speak to one of his friends and so Lexie was left by herself at the bar again until Tony walked up to her, taking her attention away from the Super Soldier's back. He hadn't remembered her. She didn't expect him to. He was in a coma when she had first seen him. Despite having often talked to his frozen body as she waited for him to wake while tending to his brain activity he had no idea who she was.
"Lex," Tony appeared behind her, startling the younger girl."Hey Tone," she smiled gently, turning her head ever so slightly. "What's up?" She avoided eye contact with him.
"You good?" He asked, creasing his eyes as he furrowed his eyebrows in concern.
"I'm fine." She sent him a bright smile, which he saw right through but didn't question.
"Come on, I'll introduce you to everyone else." He gestured towards the group of people who had moved over to the seating area.
"Sure." She slowly stood up, leaving her drink at the bar, unfinished.
"Who's the kid Tony?" A man who was sat on the floor with a pair of drum sticks in his hand, questioned the billionaire who led his little sister over to them all.
"I'm actually twenty five." Lexie spoke up before Tony could answer. "And my names Lexie. Lexie Stark." She sent them all a smile as their eyes all widened. Of course with the exception of Bruce and Maria. Steve nearly choked on his drink.
"Everyone - this is my sister." Tony waved a hand in Lexie's direction as he sat down on the couch, leaving everyone to stare at the dark haired girl.
"You have... a sister?" Lexie turned to face Steve, who had been the one to speak.
"You're related to this guy?" The guy with the drums sticks stated in complete confusion, not as polite as Steve, who had no clue who Lexie was.
"You make it sound as if he's a bad person." Lexie smiled, a small hint of playfulness in her tone. "And we're not actually related. I was adopted when I was three." Lexie explained to the blonde man, sending him a bright, gorgeous smile. Her best feature as she was always told.
"How have you managed to put up with him for twenty two years?" The redheaded woman asked in a flat teasing tone.
"With great difficulty." Lexie lied wanting to seem playful, laughing a little."Hey," Tony exclaimed as the others all chuckled at the beautiful surgeon.
"Here, sit please." Steve stood up and let her take the spot beside him before he sat back down, now not in the middle of the sofa for two.
"Thanks," she muttered softly. He smiled back, his grin making her blush so she turned away, not noticing the Cheshire Cat like grin on his face grow as he looked to the ground.
The sofa was small and so their legs kept brushing past each other whenever one moved ever so slightly. It made Lexie's shoulders tense but she kept her focus on the conversation at hand, finding the people Tony knew to be quite funny and amusing. She had been introduced to them all now. The redhead was Natasha Romanoff, the guy with the drum sticks was Clint Barton, there was Thor who was literally the God of Thunder, Tony's close friend James Rhodey had stayed but Lexie already knew him, then there was of course Bruce and Maria along with Steve and Tony.
