𝐋𝐄𝐗𝐈𝐄 sat at the table, staring down at the hot, freshly brewed coffee she had her hands wrapped around. One of her fingers were tapping against the pot, as she bit down hard on her bottom lip, her leg bouncing up and down under the table.
"Ultron took you folks out of play to buy himself time. My contacts all say he's building something. The amount of Vibranium he made off with, I don't think it's just one thing." So apparently Nick Fury arrived earlier to have a talk with Tony. He was now in the living room / open kitchen area talking to the group who had all regathered.
"What about Ultron himself?" Steve asked him, arms crossed over his chest as he lent on the archway separating the two rooms. Fury was in the kitchen, pottering about as he made himself a snack and drink.
"Ah. He's easy to track, he's everywhere. Guy's multiplying faster than a Catholic rabbit." Lexie chuckled at the snarky comment made by Fury. She stopped when he glared down at her, intimidating her like he always did. Lexie's heart almost burst out of her chest when Lila padded up to her and handed her a piece of paper with a drawing on. She gave the small girl a hug, promising her that she would savour the picture forever in a whisper so she wouldn't interrupt the others. It was a drawing of Lexie and Steve holding hands. She knew that because their names were written out of crayons in large capitals under the pictures. Lexie raised an eyebrow at the drawing, blushing a little as she turned it over so Steve nor anyone else would be able to see what she was blushing at.
"Still doesn't help us get an angle on any of his plans though." Fury carried on.
"He still going after launch codes?" Tony threw a dart at the dart board, always missing the bullseye.
"Yes, he is, but he's not making any headway." Fury cut up his sandwich as he talked.
"I cracked the Pentagon's firewall in high school on a dare." Tony bragged.
"That's true but he needed my help." Lexie nodded, stuffing a biscuit into her mouth.
"Yeah, well, I contacted our friends at the NEXUS about that." Fury ignored Lexie's comment.
"NEXUS?" Steve was just as confused as the others, except from the three geniuses and Fury. Clint picked up a dart and without so much as a glance he threw it and hit bullseye from a difficult angle. Tony turned slowly to stare at him in shock.
"It's the world internet hub in Oslo, every byte of data flows through there, fastest access on earth." Lexie explained to the Super Solider, sending him a smile.
"So what'd they say?" Clint asked, smirking at Tony.
"He's fixated on the missiles, but the codes are constantly being changed." Fury acknowledged.
"By whom?" Tony frowned, going to fetch the darts that had hit the board.
"Parties unknown." Fury sighed.
"Do we have an ally?" Nat asked as Lila walked up to her with another drawing she had completed.
"Ultron's got an enemy, that's not the same thing. Still, I'd pay folding money to know who it is." Fury told them all.
"I might need to visit Oslo, find our unknown." Tony announced, knowing his part in the plan.
"Well, this is good times, boss, but I was kind of hoping when I saw you, you'd have more than that." Natasha smirked.
