Chapter 11 Kakariko Village +Announcement+

Zelda POV:

It has been so long since I have step foot out of the castle, to feel the fresh air and the feel of freedom once again is exhilarating. I say freedom I didn't mean that I was chain in one place or being harassed by my own father telling me not to do this or to do that. I just mean that it is a nice change of pace that's all. Hyrule is a vast world and some area is still untouched or haven't been discovered yet.

I sometime am jealous of common people. Getting to do so many possibilities, no boundary to what they can do. But for me as the princess, I can't do much because who know what dangerous things lurking behind castle wall and I'm still too young to do things on my own. But even after all that is said, Young people who is a commoner still have more opportunity than me. Having chances to make new friend, learning new techniques, living life as they choose, nothing to keep them from archiving their dreams, not stuck to their own duty and their own fate.

Riding on horse is very relaxing for me it is my favorite way to travel, not to mention horse can be your traveling buddy as well and they're very cute too when I grow up enough, I wish I could have a horse so I can go explore the world a bit if my father would let me that is.

Right now, we are approaching Dueling peak. We have been travelling for a long time now, I know that I just said that riding on horse is relaxing but if you riding it for too long. It can be a bit unpleasant but it doesn't bother me that much. I don't know about Avian though. This must be the very first time for him to travel by riding a horse.

While traveling, me and my father didn't talk much. I did want to talk to Avian but we are far from each other so it is hard for us to have conversation with one another but I can faintly hear someone humming a song in the back. I guess it is Avian who did it so I guess he's enjoying himself.

Not long after, we finally reach Fort Hateno, it is built to protect Hateno Village and is the second-best strong hold from Akkala Citadel. I look back to Avian to see how he would react to this place. I see him eyes wide, smiling at the beautiful scenery. Even though it is just a Fort it seems that Avian must take a liking to this place. I was about to look back to the road ahead when something caught my eyes. His expression, Avian's expression change to a solemn and sad look then he looks toward me. We make eye contact with each other which make Avian startle a bit that I have been looking at him this whole time, his mood seems to have switch to an embarrassed one which make me giggled a bit. He's so cute but he can sometime act like an adult. My father looks back to see what I'm I giggling about and see Avian in his shyful state and he laugh a bit as well.

The sun is about to set, night is approaching but we have arrived to our destination in time. Kakariko Village is a bustling town where the sheikah tribe reside in, it is a rather small town but it still has it charm in its own way. The town is especially beautiful at night when firefly come out to play. I have visited this place often in the pass. It is good to see it still the same way as it is

All of us get off our horses, my father orders his men to take care of the horses and guarding the entrance for our safety. Me, Avian and My father regroup together in front of the elder's house.

"I will go talk to the elder, thanks them for letting us stay here and for preparing our dinner for tonight. You both can go do something to kill time. I know you must be hungry but please understand." My father says.

"We understand, Father." I answer and Avian just nodded. My father smiles at us and start walking upstairs to meet with the elder. Then we both walk toward one of the benches in front of the cooking pot beside the elder house and we sit there.

"so ummm.... While we were traveling. Did you look at me the whole time?" Avian ask me. He seems to still feel a bit embarrassed. But his comment make me feel flustered.

"N-No I didn't look at you the whole time!! I-I just look at you at that moment and that's it." I answer Avian honestly and he seems to make and Ohh as a respond.

"But I have something to ask you though." Grabbing his attention once again.

"Ohh? What is it?" He asks me

"Well first of all how is your traveling? I mean this must be the first time you travel while riding a horse." I ask him and he seems to think for a bit.

"if that what you ask, it is enjoyable but I don't think it is my kind of way to travel. I feel sore all over my body and When I was about to get off of the horse, I almost faceplant myself to the ground. But it is okay. It is not as bad as I thought." I feel relief that he seems to at least like traveling by horse but it seems he didn't enjoy it that much. But the part where he tells me he almost faceplant to the ground make me giggled a bit. On to the next question then.

"Secondly while we were passing Fort Hateno your mood seems a bit down is there something going on there? Or did you remember something important? And why did you look at me in the end?" This question seems to have taken him by surprise. He paniced a bit but then return to his calm nature.

"Avian, Hey.... Are you okay?" I ask concerning the way he acted.

"O-Ohh n-no I'm okay. I'm sorry. It's nothing that you should concern about." Scratching his feather on his head.

"come on. Avian we are friend you can trust me you always help me in my tough time so please let me help you." I plea for him to tell me what is going on, he let out a sign and start speaking.

"it-it is just while I was passing there, I just think that this world is so vast and massive so many things to see, but then I suddenly remember that I'm just a rito who can't remember anything. How can I survive this world without you and your family...." He seems to look up at the sky not looking down.

"I'm here. We are always here. I'm glad to have help you and becoming friend with you. Our family is glad to have help you when you go to Rito Village I know you will grow up to be a strong warrior." It is all I can do encouraging him to push forward just like what he did for me but I don't know if it helps him. He looks down and smile at me then say.

"Thanks" we stay there silent, beathing in the fresh air of the village for a moment then Avian suddenly speaks breaking the silent.

"hmm... well, can you tell me about Kakariko Village more? We are here now so why not take a stroll around town?" He asks

"That's a great idea. Let's go and I will try my best to tell you all about this place." After that we are off walking around the village talking and enjoying the place. Avian seems to like this place a lot as well. Eventually night has fallen and a guard comes to us.

"Princess Zelda, Avian, it is time for your dinner. The King ask of you to go there immediately." He said sternly

"Alright. Lead the way for us please." As I finish my sentence. The guard lead the way to where we will have dinner. Upon arriving at the scene, I see my father still talking to the elder of the town. Eventually they see us and stop talking.

"The Princess and The Rito is here your majesty." The king nodded and the guard walk away. Me and Avian then greet the elder.

"Have a seat. We are about to have dinner. Your highness. Sorry we talk for quite a while both of you must be hungry." The elder says. We both walk to one of the empty seats and sat there.

"As the princess of hyrule, I must thank you as well for letting us stay here and for this feast." I say thanking the elder. She giggled a bit

"No need beside it is just a small thing for us to do." She said smiling at us. Then someone touches my elbow from behind. I look back to see a girl wearing traditional sheikah clothing smile at me.

"Hello Princess Zelda, who's your new friend here?" This got Avian attention as well and he look to see her.

"Impa!!"
