Theo moved on with her life. She still loves and misses Philip but she doesn't break down crying everyday anymore. She does relapse on his birthday however. But Angie is a different story. Angie never recovered. She is still stuck in the 'per mandate childhood'. The rest of the Hamiltons have accepted that there is nothing they can do to change the fact that Philip is gone. Yes, they are still sad, but they are able to continue on with their lives.
Philip's duel was unavoidable. But it's sad to remember that all of this was causes by Alexander's mistake. All of it was caused by The Reynolds Pamphlet.
