i feel like i know you- (discontinued)

~so, we meet again?~

dream franticly scrambled around his small inn, a rag slung over his shoulder. the rag was wet, dampening his light green hoodie.

"sap! is he here?" sapnap, more commonly known as his nickname "sap" was dreams friend and employee. he was looking out the window of the b&b, waiting for the arrival of the king, who had been spotted just outside town asking for directions to the dream b&b.

"uhh no- YES YES HES HERE DREAM" sap yelled into the back, sending dream into a panicked frenzy of wiping of tables and trying to fix his own appearance.

the sound of a bell rang out across the inn, the bell that signaled the door opening. dream put his mask on and walked to the front. he felt shaky. he knew why the king was here to see him and frankly he was scared. he had not seen his old friends since.. well not for a long time. dream had spent countless nights laying awake, wondering if techno remembered him.

"hello.." the king said, no emotion present on his pale face. the king studied the taller blond in front of him. his eyes landing curiously on the mask dream had covering his face. "so, is that a new one." he asked dream. a smile- well no more a smirk appeared on his face

"i uh.. yeah. the old one cracked a few years ago" the flustered blond managed to get out. dream was surprised techno had remembered him, let alone noticed the new mask

"mhm, what a shame. i thought that mask was made of a good material." the king looked down at his fingers that were linked together in front of him and then back to the blond. "so, you're going by dream now." he questioned.

dream couldn't help the chuckle that escaped his lips. the king was trying so hard to be intimidating but his height made dream find this quite comical. now, technoblade was quite tall, always has been. but dream was always taller. something he used to tease his friend in their youth

"so, you're going by technoblade now" dream retorted, smiling behind his mask at their child-like bickering. the king scoffed before looking behind him and spotting sapnap who was sat at a table, peaking over a menu

"still picking up strays" techno looked back. sapnap opened his mouth to say something but closed it after seeing dreams stern gaze over the kings shoulder "dream" technoblade paused, adjusting to called his old friend the name before continuing "id like to talk to you, privately."

"uh sure," dream leaned a bit to look at sapnap "sap we are going upstairs, can you handle for a bit" he asked as sapnap sighed and nodded, standing up and going into the back. dream jumped up and jumped across the counter, startling the king who almost fell back before catching himself and scoffing "god you never change" he mumbled under his breath. dream chuckled and linked his arm with techno "shall we, your majesty?" he smirked, though unknown to techno who replied with "we shall" and the two headed to the stairs that lead to the upstairs of the dream b&b
