𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐓𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐑 training session meaning that he was leaving before Abigail woke up,

Scott tippy-toed down the hallway and stopped as he heard the soft snores coming from the girl's room,

Much to his surprise, the curtains were wide open,

Not that it mattered as it was the middle of winter,

There was a small source of light which was from the girl's almost finished candle.

"Ummm," Abigail spoke in her sleep as she dug her head further into the pillow,

"There we go," Scott whispered as he pulled her blanket back over her before placing a soft kiss on her forehead,

"Don't look at me like that," he added looking Tabby who was currently sat on the cream bean bag looking at the bed,

"If she didn't exist I would be getting rid of you." The Scot sending the cat a glare,

"Scott," Abigail called out as she stirred in her sleep,

"That's me off then," Scott whispered sending Taffy a salute before quickly getting out of the room.

Abigail was moping around the house as she really didn't understand why John decided to say he wasn't interested in her anymore,

She knew that they would never would out in the long term but it still hurt,

But when Scott kissed her it made her rethink everything,

And that maybe John saying that he didn't want to talk to her was actually going to be a blessing.

Deciding that she didn't want to think about it any longer she turned to Taffy,

"What do you think I should do about it?" Abigail asked the quiet chat who turned around confused,

"That's no help," she mumbled as the cat remained quiet,

"You know what, fuck this." The barista got up causing the tabby cat to follow her,

"I'm going on a walk," she added looking at the coat rack as it was starting to rain outside.

"But I first need a hoodie." The blonde mumbled as she made her way upstairs.

Abigail walked through the city as she felt the rain get harder,

"Why didn't I bring an actual coat," Abigail groaned to herself as she pulled the sleeves of her hoodie down trying to keep herself warm,

"Abby wait!" Scott called out from the other side of the road as he parked his car,

"What are you doing here?" The barista asked curiously as she looked up to the boy who was now running towards her,

"I came to find you, why'd you decide to come out in the middle of the rain?" The footballer asked curiously as the girl let out a slight giggle,

"It clears my head," the younger blonde shrugged causing the boy to sigh,

"Scott, can I ask you something?" Her thick Scottish accent came out when she softly said his name,

"Anything." The older Scot nodded as he took a step closer to the girl,

"Why can't I get a guy to want to go out with me beyond a second date? Is there something wrong with me?" Abigail sounded as though she was about to let out a cry,

And despite it being all of Scott's fault he couldn't help but feel his heartbreak for her,

"Like why don't they like me?" She added not caring about the rain that was running down her face,

"I like you," Scott confessed as the girl bit her cheek,

"Well I would hope so, we are best friends and roommates. So it would be rather awkward-" the barista went on causing the boy to let out a laugh,

"Not like that Abby," the footballer decided that it was now time for him to tell her everything,

He reached forward placing his hands on her cheeks before letting his lips do the rest of the work.

Abigail had always wanted a kiss in the rain purely because of how romantic it all seemed,

Pulling away the duo were grinning like children,

As this kiss went a lot better than the first one did,

The first one was weird and just didn't feel right,

But this one felt like two pieces of a puzzle that just fit together.

"Can we get to your car now please, I'm cold?" The girl let out a groan as she finally remembered that they were in the pouring rain in the middle of winter.

"Come on," the boy smiled as she followed him back to the car.
