𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐈𝐋 𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐎𝐖𝐍 as she was meant to meet her older brother,

"Good morning," she cheered as she walked into the cafe,

"You're way too happy to not have any caffeine in you." Issac shook his head causing the younger girl to laugh,

"I'm just happy to have something to do whilst I'm here, now that Harlow has gone back to Birmingham," Abigail spoke in a duh tone as she put in an apron,

"And it would be nice for you to work with your older brother," the brunette added as he motioned for her to follow him into the back area,

"I guess we could say that," the blonde joked causing her brother to scoff,

"I will gladly tell Scott where you are," the older boy warned obviously not catching on to his sister's joke,

"Don't you dare," the younger girl let out a gasp as she felt the familiar flow of butterflies whenever she thought of him,

"He is already in Scotland," Issac realised exactly what happened to his sister and figured that she should prepare herself for when the boy does come,

"If he wants to find me he'll know where to look." Abigail shrugged knowing that it would be the real test alongside an explanation,

If he knew that this was her brother's bakery and that she would be there then she would give him a second chance,

Because nobody in the family knew about the bakery beside her and she hadn't told anyone else.

"Boss there is someone out here for Abigail." One of the younger waiters's called out causing Issac to smirk,

"Sending her out right now," he responded back as he gave his sister a small shove out of the kitchen,

Abigail wiped her hands in the front of the apron as she looked for who could have been trying to see her until she finally caught eyes with them

And sure as hell it was Scott McTominay.

Scott sat next to Abigail as he apologised to her,

"Why'd you do it?" It was the only question that Abigail thought about,

"I was didn't want you to get disappointed by these boys," Scott let out a sigh as he didn't know what he could say to justify anything,

"I know how boys can act and I just figured that if I could get it to not happen to you." He added scratching the back of his neck,

"I know it's stupid," the footballer started rambling as he realised that Abigail wasn't responding to him,

"No it makes sense," he shrugged hoping that she would just say something.

"It wasn't right but I can understand why you did it." Abigail finally spoke up causing the boy to nod,

And she had done it when they were in Secondary school to a few girls so she couldn't really be too mad.

Scott got up leaving Abigail as he knew he just knew he had to say something,

"I know this may not be the right time to say this but I love you," this was Scott's fuck it moment,

"I've loved you ever since you went on that stupid tangent about how it should be illegal to have nuts in chocolate bars." He smiled almost letting out a laugh remembering her whole speech,

"I've loved you since the moment I laid eyes on you when all you wanted to do was play football but the rest of the boys weren't interested in it." He had been kicking himself ever since he realised it but didn't tell her,

"I know it's not a lot but I love you and I should have said it-" he added as he turned around assuming that the girl hadn't moved from her spot,

"Abby?" Scott started to panic as he looked for her,

"Down here," she was sat in the bridge clutching her ankle,

"My ankle." And just like five years ago Scott scooped her into his arms for them to get her to the hospital safely.

The couple were quietly sat in A&E as they waited for someone to help them,

"What's so funny?" Scott asked as he watched the girl let out a giggle,

"Remember when we were seventeen and were sat in a pretty similar position to this?" Abigail cocked her head at the boy as he let out a chuckle remembering the night,

"Yeah when you broke your leg," the footballer sounded like he was trying to judge the girl, which really didn't settle well with the younger blonde,

"You're the one who pushed me out the window." The barista tried glare as though she was mad,

But she thought the scar was worth it all.

"Let's not play the blame game right now." The boy held his hands up in defence causing the girl to roll her eyes

"But anyways I told you the same exact thing, calm down it'll all be fine." Abigail placed her hand on his,

The same way she did all those years ago.

"Okay," Scott nodded as he shifted in his seat before resting his head on her shoulder softly.

"Oh, and one more thing," the barista figured that after Scott's whole I love you speech,

It would only be fitting for her to say it to him in the same place as she first realised it.

"I love you too." She placed a soft kiss on his head before whispering the words in his ear.
