It was the Saturday after and I was still in bed, loathing myself for drinking. I hadn't even gotten too drunk, if anything I felt slightly buzzed at one point, but I still woke up with a massive headache and an aching body. Nonetheless, I was still excited to see Malachi later on that day. As usual, a part of me felt bad. I had spent the night before, basically flirting with this guy, still had whatever I had with Dane and now I'd basically just booked a dick appointment.  But the other part of me didn't care. I was 23 and single. I was doing what I was supposed to be doing – dating. Everybody was doing it. Malachi was doing it and Dane had done it. Khalida was on a date practically every weekend and so was Abi. For once, I didn't owe anybody anything and that was okay.

I knew I couldn't stay in bed forever because my room was a bit of a mess from getting ready to go to work on Friday so after an hour, I dragged myself out of bed, took two paracetamols and chugged a litre of water.
