"We can't just leave her here." A voice spoke softly from somewhere nearby.

A low growl echoed throughout the room. "We don't have much choice. We have to be at school."

"I still don't know what is wrong with her, Owen. I have to wait for her to wake up. All we know is that she's been vomiting and that she has a fever."

It took me a moment, but I recognized the voices, and hearing Owen's name helped that. I remembered being with Owen's wolf and throwing up, but everything after that is fuzzy. When did Sean show up? Does Kota know that they're here with me?

I blinked my eyes open, quickly squeezing them shut when the light made them sting. Light. I sat up quickly, my heart pounding in my chest. I needed to get home. Hopefully, my parents hadn't looked for me. I could only imagine the trouble that I would be in if they knew that I left the house in the middle of the night.

I willed the room to stop spinning and opened my eyes. Sean and Owen stood in front of me with somber looks on their face. They didn't say anything as they watched me like I was a ticking time bomb. When neither one made a move to speak, I took the initiative.

"Uh, hi?" I squeaked out through a sore throat then winced.

Good job, Sang. You handled that well. Sean gave me a small smile and moved toward me.

"How are you feeling?" He was in doctor mode. I wasn't quite sure he had any other modes besides doctor and flirt.

I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm fine."

A growl came from Owen, but I chose to ignore it. He didn't get to be all growly with me. Not now. I stayed focused on Sean who was frowning at me. It was obvious that I was ill. And I definitely did not feel fine, but I needed to get home before my absence was noticed and then I needed to get to school.

"How long have you been feeling ill, Sang?" Sean tried again.

My hand floated up to rest at the base of my throat. "The morning after North dropped me off at home."

Owen surged forward, "why didn't you call us?"

"I wasn't allowed to." Not only would my father have noticed, but Kota said that I was supposed to stay away from them. I was fairly sure that meant no phone calls.

Sean ran a hand through his curls, "what do you mean you weren't allowed to?"

"My dad and mom were home. They would have noticed if I tried to call you." I didn't mention Kota's visit. They didn't seem to know about it, and I wasn't going to say anything.

"Your mother came home? Why didn't Kota and Nathan tell us that?" Sean asked as he looked at Owen.

"She wasn't there when he showed up, and Nathan hadn't been with Kota." My eyes darted between the two boys in front of me. "Can this wait? I need to get home so that I can get ready for school."

Owen looked displeased. "The clothes that Gabriel picked out for you are here. We can take you to school."

My mouth dropped open a little. "Won't my parents notice that I wasn't at home?"

Sean pulled his phone out and tapped at it quickly. There were only a few moments of silence before his phone vibrated. "According to Nathan, your father's car isn't in the driveway. Let us take you to school."

I gave a short nod. I didn't think that my mother would have noticed my being gone. I was told to stay away from her after all.

Owen led me to his bedroom and opened the closet door to reveal all the clothes that Gabriel had picked out neatly hung up on the left side of the closet. The right side was filled with Owen's suits. It seemed to be an intimate gesture that had my cheeks turning a bright red.
