Skylar was listening to a story Rhodey was telling while wearing a nice shirt and jeans and two knives in her shoes because she's always prepared.
"Cause the suit could take the weight right? So I fly up to the tank, drop it at it's feet saying 'boom you looking for this?'"
Thor gave a confused look as if he was waiting for more.
"'Boom are you looking for..' why do I even talk to you guys every where else that story kills." Rhodey said.
"That's the whole story?" Skylar asked. "Yeah, it's a war machine story." Rhodey said to her.
"Oh, it's very good then." Thor said and Skylar nodded.
"Quality save." Rhodey said then looked at Tony. "So, no pepper? She's no coming?" He asked.
Tony shook his head. "Oh, ms. Potts has a company to run." He said and then Maria walked to them and asked.
"Hey what about Jane? Where are the ladies gentlemen?"
That was Skylar's cue to walk away from the conversation. She walked in on Natasha and Bruce talking.
"How would a nice girl like you end up in a dump like this?" Bruce asked Nat.
Nat shrugged. "Fella done me wrong." She said pouring him a drink. "You got a lousy taste in men, kid." Bruce said.
She sighed. "He's not so bad. Well, he has a temper, deep down he's all fluff."
She looked into his eyes and put a cherry into his drink. Skylar tilted her head and continued to listen to this odd conversation.
"Fact is he's not like anybody I've ever known." Natasha said. "All my friends are fighters. And here comes this guy, avoiding the fight because he'll know he'll win."
"Sounds amazing." Bruce said. "He's also a huge dork. Chicks dig that." Natasha said sipping her drink.
"So what do you think? should I fight this, or run with it?" She asked. Skylar widened her eyes. Did she seriously just ask that?
"Run with it, right? Or did he...was he...what did he do that was so wrong to you?" Bruce asked. "Not a thing." Natasha said. "But never say never."
"It's nice." Steve said. "What is?" Bruce asked.
"You and Romanoff." Steve replied. "No we haven't... that wasn't.." Bruce stammered.
"It's okay, nobody's breaking any bylaws. It's just that she's not the most open person in the world." Steve said. "But with you she seems very relaxed."
"No. Natasha she just, she likes to flirt." Bruce said. "I've seen her flirt," Steve said. "Up close. It ain't that." Steve then left.
Bruce scoffed and then half yelled "what do you mean up close?"

After the party died down, Clint was declaring that Thor's hammer was a trick. "But it's a trick!" He said while twirling a drumstick which only lord knows where he found it.
"No, no it is much more than that." Thor said proudly.
"'Though whoever is worthy shall haveth the power.' Whatever man! It's a trick!" Clint said. "Well please be my guest." Thor said.
"Come on. Really?" Clint asked in disbelief. "Yeah." Tony said.
"Oh this is gonna be beautiful." Rhodey said smiling. "Clint, you've had a tough week, we won't hold it against you if you can't get it up." Tony said causing everyone to laugh.
"You know I've seen this before right?" Clint asked then tried to lift it, but then failed. "I still don't know how you do it."
"Smell the silent judgment?" Tony said. "Please Stark by all means." Clint said taking back his seat next to Skylar.
Tony got up in front of the hammer. "You know I'm never the one to shrink from an honest challenge." He said.
"It's physics."
"Physics." Bruce scoffed
"So if I lift it, I then rule Asgard." He asked Thor. "Yes of course." Thor said.
He then tried to lift the hammer, didn't work. "I'll be right back." Tony said.
Seconds later, he was back with his iron man hand on. Didn't work, he then asked Rhodey to put on his War Machine hand on.
"Are you even pulling?"
"Are you on my team?"
"Just represent! Pull!"
Bruce then tried to hulk out and lift it he then failed. It was then Steve's turn.
"Alright Steve no pressure." Tony said. "Come on cap." Clint said.
Steve went to pull it and Skylar swore she saw it move Steve went to pull it again nothing. Thor laughed nervously. "Nothing."
Stark cleared his throat. "And? Widow? Domino?"
"Oh no, that's not a question I need answered." Natasha said. Everyone looked at Skylar.
"I'm good." She said.
"All difference to the man the wouldn't be king, but it's rigged." Tony said.
"Bet your a..uh butt." Clint said looking at Skylar.
"Steve he almost said a bad language word." Maria joked.
"You tell everyone about that?" Steve asked looking at Tony. "With a little help from me." Skylar said and Steve then looked at her.
"The handle's imprinted right? Like a security code? So whoever's carrying Thor's fingerprints is the literal translation. Tony said.
"That is an interesting theory but I have a simpler one." Thor said then picked up the hammer no problem.
"You're all not worthy."
Everyone disagreed until they were interrupted by a loud screeching noise.
