A Rollercoaster of Emotions

"Oh, crud!" Darius says.

The Raptors screech at him, and Kenji whimpers as Darius backs up.

"It's okay, it's okay, we're all okay." Darius says.

Darius whimpers, then signals for Kenji to go to the Raptor bones.

"Kenji, those bones, check for a Raptor skull!" Darius says.

"What?" Kenji asks.

"In the video game, I-" Darius starts.

"You wanna talk about video games now?" Kenji says.

I see cars come pulling up to the pen, and I see Dave go to the gate, and Roxie come up here.

"Girls, move!" Roxie tells us.

She walks to the button board, then Raptors screech again, and this time Darius yelps, and falls back.

"No! Let me out! Let me out!" Kenji yells.

Roxie presses an orange button, and the Raptors start to walk towards the boys, screeching, which caused the boys to whimper in fear, then suddenly, the flood lights around the cage turned on, which made the Raptors be blinded for a second.

"Hey, come and get it!" Roxie tells the Raptors.

Roxie drops some meat for the raptors, then all but one of the Raptors run towards the meat.

"Get out of there!" Roxie yells.

The last Raptor runs towards the boys, then Roxie presses a blue button to open the gate, and once it opens a little bit, Dave pulls Darius and Kenji out of the cage, before the Raptor got to him.

"Come with me girls." Roxie says worriedly .

We walk down the stairs to Dave, who is throwing up at the moment, and Roxie runs up to him.

"Are you hurt?" Roxie says to Dave. "Is everyone all right?"

Kenji tries to walk away, then Roxie stops him.

"Woah, woah, woah, where do you think you're going?" Roxie asks him. "You and Darius are in big trouble."

"I- but he- he was-" Darius tries to explain.

"Save it!" Roxie says. "We'll decide what to do with you later, if you even get to remain here after a stunt like this."

Dave, Roxie, Kenji, Brooklynn, and I walk over to the car, while Darius stands there for a few seconds before getting in the car.

"Thanks Kenji, now we're all gonna have to go home, all because you just had to take Brooklynn's phone." I say.

"Well what's so bad about that?" Kenji asks.

"You know what? I never even wanted to go see the dinosaurs at night, without supervision, but you made me come, so why should I answer that?" I say.

"Cause you were probably gonna tell Dave and Roxie!" Kenji tells me.

BECAUSE YOU WERE SNEAKING OUT, AND SOMEBODY OBVIOUSLY SAW YOU SNEAKING OUT, AND TOLD THEM, AND THAT'S GOOD, BECAUSE IF THEY DIDN'T, YOU AND DARIUS WOULD BE DEAD!

I put my elbows on my legs, and run my fingers through my still wet hair, then I stop halfway, and leave my hands in my hair. After ten seconds, I move my hands off of my head and I put them over my nose and mouth like a cup, my arms still on my legs, and look down at the floor of the truck.

"Kenji, look what you did!" Brooklynn whispers.

"What?!" He says.

"You made her sad." Brooklynn says.
