pretty sure I aced my chem test 😎 it was so easy! ...a little too easy... oh.. watch me have gotten it all wrong- 😃

lunch time soon came and I walked over to kais desk, where kayla was just staring at him

eli: I have to switch seats asap
kairi: why?
eli: I got sat next to some asshole who doesn't like my dad so he's taking it out on me
kairi: what? who.

he furrowed his brows and his expression turned serious

eli: ...relax, he's just being childish
kairi: ..if he bothers you, tell me

I chuckled

eli: you don't have to worry about what my dad told you, I can handle it myself
kairi: I wasn't worried about that, I just don't like when people pick on you
eli: well-

kayla bumped into my shoulder and I jerked back. I clenched my jaw and turned around to look at her

kayla: what, you gonna hit me? did you forget my dads a news reporter?
eli: ...
kairi: can you just leave?

she scoffed and left the classroom

kairi: seriously eli.. you gotta stand up for yourself
eli: ..yeah I know

he grabbed his backpack and we walked out to get lunch

kairi: was the sandwich enough? do you want my apple?
eli: you're always tryna feed me

I laughed, he chuckled and put his hand on his neck

eli: oh did you hear about dorms!
kairi: oh yeah arent we going to move into them?
eli: yeah but the school needs our parents' consent
kairi: you think your dads going to allow that? you know, judging by the fact that more than half of the students here are boys
eli: i'll handle him don't worry
kairi: im sure your mom would say yes
eli: yeah, she will

we walked back to class and I dramatically left to my seat and sat down

dylan: ugh
eli: do you have a problem
dylan: yes-
eli: say it with your chest
dylan: y-yes! I have a problem!
aizawa: and what might that problem be, dylan.
dylan: um n-nothing, sir!

i chuckled to my self and he growled at me. aizawa sighed and pulled out a stack of papers

kayla: oo what are those for!
aizawa: well, kayla, if you'd let me start class first, maybe I could answer your question.
eli: on god bro, shut up

I blurted

kairi: for real like, let my man speak

he said from across the room, I looked over at him and we both pursed out lips trying our hardest not to laugh. kayla could pick on me all she wanted, as long as I don't touch her, i'm good.

aizawa: these are permission slips and consent forms for your parents you sign, saying they are allowing you to stay in the ua dorms

the class immediately yelled in excitement. the school day soon ended so kai and I walked home together. when we got home my uncle was still at our house and they were sitting down at the table, while my mom was rubbing his back and my dad was talking to him, i'm guessing about my aunt

eli: um.. let's go upstairs and we can give them the permission slips later
kairi: okay..

I grabbed his hand and we ran upstairs into my bedroom

eli: so are you excited to move into the dorms?
kairi: yeah, we can have a lot more sleep over now without your dad busting threw the door every few minutes yelling "HANDS TO YOURSELVES"

I laughed

eli: yeah but i'm kinda gonna miss it here
kairi: we can always come visit
eli: you're right

I threw myself back onto the bed and sighed

kairi: what
eli: what do you mean
kairi: you only sigh when something is bothering you
eli: it's just.. if we move into the dorms kayla is going to have full excess to bother me every second of the day
kairi: you act like im not going to be with you
eli: but when you aren't
kairi: when are we not together
eli: when you go to the bathroom, when you go back to your dorm
kairi: just lock your dorm
eli: you act like that gonna stop her
kairi: you know, sometimes violence is okay

I laughed and he laid next to me

bakugo: hey, your mom wants you guys to go downst- WHAT THE HELL

he quickly jumped onto my bed, in between us

kairi: why are you yelling
bakugo: JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING! LAYING RIGHT NEXT TO MY BABY GIRL IN BED
eli: daddd!
bakugo: GO DOWNSTAIRS!

kairi rolled his eyes

bakugo: WHO THE HELL ARE YOU ROLLING YOUR EYES AT, BOY!
kairi: you
bakugo: WH-
eli: seriously dad, you overreact. we weren't doing anything
kairi: you do this every time
eli: for real, were you like this with mom and uncle shoto? what a buzz kill
kairi: honestly

my dad stared at us with his eyes widened and slowly got up with his hands up to his chest

bakugo: w-wait eli are you mad at me!
eli: no, dad
bakugo: a-are you sure!

he said as he trailed behind me like a child

bakugo: do you still love me?!

I chuckled and turned around to give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek

eli: yes I still love you, but you're annoying
bakugo: im your father, that's my job

I laughed and he patted my head as we headed downstairs. we saw my uncle sitting down with his head hanging low and my mom looking down at her hands

eli: is... everything okay..

I acted oblivious since kairi wasn't supposed to tell me about the divorce

y/n: uh... why don't you guys sit down

kairi and I sat down next to each other and my uncle looked up with red puffy eyes. it hurt me seeing him this way, i'm sure it hurt everyone since he rarely ever cried

eli: ...
todoroki: um... as you're aware your aunt and I have been having a couple of issues these past few months

kairi looked down at his hands under the table, I grabbed his hand and held it with my two hands

todoroki: and i'm.. im sad to say that we are getting a divorce.. and I-i don't know how things are going to go as far as kairi living with either his mother or me. my lawyer says that the judge will most likely hand over custody to his mother..

my heart sunk as I began to think about him leaving to the states. i've been with him my entire life.. how am I supposed to get over this..

eli: but im sure there's something you can do, you can do something about it, right? ...r-right?
y/n: ...
eli: respond.. please respond to me! you will do something about it right! right?!

my eyes started to water and my grip on kairis hand got tighter. my uncle had his head down holding back his tears, and my parents had their eyes closed, hearing the pain in my voice.
