after that whole "break up" over the phone I guess you could say, I spent a few days in my room. my mom tried to get me to leave the house to "get to know california" but I refused.

aya: come on, kairi, you can't spend the rest of your days in your room
kairi: I literally can, and I am
aya: go get me some milk from the convenience store
kairi: whyyyy

I said from under the covers

aya: would you like to eat dry cereal?
kairi: I mean, shit, it ain't that bad-
aya: go buy some milk!
kairi: fine! jeez..

I got up and got a whiff of something

kairi: oh my go- what is that smell!
aya: it's literally you
kairi: oh.. oh shit it is! I really let myself go, ima take a shower first before I go
aya: i'll change your sheets and wash your blankets while you're gone, they smell horrible
kairi: that's cause you invited the homie depression

I sarcastically smiled and she sighed as I walked into the bathroom to bathe myself. I took a long hot shower, flossed, brushed my teeth, dried my hair and finally got dressed. I hadn't changed for weeks.

kairi: ...I should probably clean my room as well..

I got a trash bag from downstairs and threw out all the chip bags and the water bottles and put my dirty clothes in the laundry basket and then went downstairs.

kairi: can I have some yen to go buy the milk
aya: no, but I can give you 10 dollars
kairi: ...right

I awkwardly chuckled

aya: just two milk cartons, and then you can get yourself something if you want

I walked out of the house and began to walk, I had only seen the convenience store once and that was on our way over to the new house so, I was hoping I wouldn't get lost. I was in my head, obviously thinking of arely. what was she doing? HOW was she doing? was she thinking about me as much as I was thinking of her? I feel bad that i'm putting her through so much pain.. she's probably doing worse than me..

eli's pov:

eli: im gonna trade you for two bags of cheetos

andy fell back on my bed laughing

eli: it'll be buy one get one free
dylan: get one free?
eli: yeah, they'll buy you and they get andy for free

dylan and I started laughing and andy sat up

andy: HUH?! WHY ME!
dylan: your sister is throwing a party huh
andy: yeah, her fucking birthday party
eli: wait I still don't get how you guys are related, i've known her since I was in kindergarten and I never saw you
andy: well we're step siblings
eli: interesting..

dylan and I looked at each other and pursed our lips trying not to laugh and make "the joke"

andy: I HATE YOU GUYS! I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING!
dylan: we didn't even say anything

I was holding in my laugh but my smile was apparent

andy: im out

he got up and walked to the door

dylan: what are you doing?
eli: yeah, what are you doing, step bro?
andy: ARELY

I laughed out loud and he walked out of my dorm

dylan: you're always pissing him off
eli: it's funny! plus he's never actually mad
dylan: this is why you have no friends
eli: says the one who practically begged me to be their friend
dylan: shut up
eli: anyways are you going to the party tomorrow night?
dylan: i kinda have to, my mom is making me go
eli: right, I forgot you two are childhood friends
dylan: so.. um.. are you going?
eli: nah, I have better things to do
dylan: yeah? like what
eli: like sleeping
dylan: come on
eli: im not going, we literally hate each other
dylan: okay but if I go alone i'm just gonna fight with andy
eli: is your mom going to stay at the party?
dylan: no she has work
eli: so then just ditch the party when she leaves
dylan: it's not that easy
eli: yes, it actually kind of is
dylan: can you just come with me, it'll be more fun if you're there

I paused for a second and then a smug smile grew on my face

eli: you love my presence don't you
dylan: s-shut up!
eli: fine i'll go, but you gotta buy me a slushie and chips next time we go to the store
dylan: deal

andy came through the door with an annoyed expression on his face

eli: look who came crawling back
andy: shut it

he crossed his arms and sat on my bed

dylan: arely's coming to the party by the way

his little petty act quickly disappeared and his face lit up

andy: REALLY?! THANK GOODNESS
eli: guys stop, you're making me feel things

I pulled a debby ryan and they laughed

eli: aw shit
dylan: what's wrong
eli: I left my earphones at my house last time I went.. i'll go get them, i'll be right back
andy: do you want us to go with you

I paused for a second to think about how my father would react

eli: sure!

they got up and followed me, letting me lead the way as they fought behind me for whatever reason. at the dorm, I thought it would be a good idea to bring them along just to get a reaction out of my dad, but actually being in front of my door.. I didn't really want to see my dad have a reaction anymore

eli: uhhh you guys can just stay outside i'll be quick
andy: no way! I wanna meet some top heros!
eli: uh- n-no! doesn't dylan have a problem with my dad! y-yeah I think you guys should just stay here!
dylan: I won't do anything!
eli: just stay out he-
bakugo: eh?!

my eyes widened and I slowly turned around to face my dad

eli: heeey... dad..
bakugo: hey baby

he smiled at me

bakugo: oh, also, WHO THE HELL ARE THESE TWO IDIOTS?! AND WHY ARE THEY NEAR YOU?!

dylan's eyes lit up and andy was scared for his life, my dad yanked me to his side and got into a fighting stance

andy: uh! m-mister bakugo w-we don't want any problems! we just accompanied arely so she wouldn't have to come alone!
bakugo: EXCUSES! YOU LITTLE GERMS ARE- eh?! what the hell is up with him

he pointed at dylan who was just staring at my dad

eli: I just came to get my earphones, can you please not overreact, they're just friends
bakugo: ..fine, go get your earphones. you two stay out here
andy: it's a bit chilly-
bakugo: DID I SAY YOU COULD SPEAK?!
andy: n-no sir!

he put his head down and I went upstairs to get my earphones
