Chapter 27: The Girls' Sleepover

Francesca: Kicking means making someone happy, really? Where did you come up with that?

Camila: I panicked okay!

Francesca: Let me not get started on that bet!

Camila: He bought it, didn't he!

Francesca: Yeah I guess, let's call the doctor. I'll speak because you might make up something else that won't make sense.

As I dialled, Violetta took the phone from me and whispered.

Violetta: No, I'll be fine by tomorrow, I just need to rest.

Francesca: But Vilu...

She shook her head and kept the phone until I gave in.

Francesca: Okay fine, we won't call. We're not going to leave you though, in case anyone wants to talk to you. We're going to sleep over, I'm calling to tell my brother.

After we both called to let our family members know, Violetta sat on her bed looking upset.

Camila: What's wrong? If it's because of your voice then don't worry, everything is going to be okay.

Violetta went to her laptop and showed us a picture of Leon.

Francesca: It's going to be okay, you know he loves you.

Camila: You're in love with him, aren't you.

She covered her face with a pillow and nodded her head. All of a sudden, Leon called her via skype.

Camila: Aww, it's like they're connected! Whenever you think of him, he calls! Pick up the call, what if he wants to sort things out.

Francesca: And do what, speak in sign language!

Camila: I have an idea. Let's do it, like in 'Singing In The Rain'!

Francesca: What, dance in the rain with an umbrella and sing?

Camila: No Francesca, she must show her face in the video and one of us will speak to him pretending to be her.

Francesca: How is that going to work, he'll know it's not her speaking. Why doesn't she just text him?

Camila: No, he wants to speak to her, see her face, connect with her.

Francesca: Fine, I'll be the voice then.

Francesca: Do you really trust Camila to speak for you?

She shook her head, but Camila didn't care.

Camila: Well you don't have a choice. There's always Federico, or Ludmila... Or even Olga.

Francesca: This isn't going to work!

Camila: Let's just try, come on, answer him!

Violetta went to her laptop and answered his call.

Leon: I didn't think you'd answer.

Camila (Violetta): Hi my love.

Leon: Hey, how are you?

Camila (Violetta): I'm good and you?

Leon: I'm alright, could we talk about what happened today?

Camila (Violetta): Yes sure, you have no idea how much I have been thinking about you and how much I miss you.
