"Mendoza please come into my office" Coach O'Rion said to Luis after practice. Me and the rest of the ducks went into the locker room nobody changed and we all waited for Luis wondering what Coach was saying to him.
"I wonder what's happening" Charlie said nervously
"My boy Luis better not be getting in trouble or I'm gunna act up" Russ added angrily
"I'm sure everything's fine guys" I tried to reassure but I wasn't too sure to be honest
We sat quietly for a few more minutes until we heard the door open and we all jumped up startled. Luis came in the room looking kind of sad and defeated
"Hey partner" Dwayne said
"What's wrong man?" Goldberg asked
Luis sighed before answering
"I uh won't be playing this month..." he said sadly
"W-what do you mean Luis?" Kenny asked
"I'm kinda failing Science"
"That's okay Luis you can study and play earlier" Connie said
"Well I'm also failing science,history,health,and basic financing" Luis sighed taking a seat next to me,putting his head on my shoulder.
"Oh man you make me look smart" Dean said and Fulton elbowed him
"We told you to pay attention and do your work in those classes Luis" Charlie said clearly frustrated. Charlie is the captain of the team so I can understand why he's mad.
"Yeah Luis what have you been doing?" Guy asked
"I don't know,stuff." Luis shrugged
"Stuff? What does that mean?" Julie asked
"Look man I don't know I just haven't been focused on school. It's fine. I'll be fine"
"Luis this isn't okay. Maybe I can help you study so you can pass all of your tests" Averman offered
"Thanks Averman I'd like that" he said before grabbing all of his stuff. "See you guys tomorrow" he said leaving the locker room
"Do you guys think he's actually fine?" Fulton asked
"Talk to him please YN none of us will get through to him" Guy said
"Yeah I will don't worry"
I changed as fast as I could and ran towards the parking lot I caught up to Luis before he got in i hi is car
"Luis hold on" I said he turned around to look at me and he smiled
"Hey princess. What do you need?"
"Luis we have to talk about this school thing. What's going on?"
"Nothings going on YN I just lost interest in school I guess but everything's fine I promise"
"I just...I don't know how I'm gunna play without you."
"Hey I'll still go to all of the games. I'll always be there princess,I'll be playing with you in no time"
