(Greetings, it appears it's time for the next update! Here it is!
Also Chocolatl —which I mention in this chapter— is not a misspelling. Chocolatl was named by the Aztecs and means 'warm liquid' or 'xococ' meaning bitter, and 'atl' meaning drink. It was the original name for Hot Chocolate.
Enjoy the chapter, there's a longer one coming soon!)

Later that day, Zane entered a small coffee shop that was situated near the outskirts of the small village. It was called, 'Brew-ti-ful' and seemed like a very homely place. Pictures of regular customers hung in golden frames, and poems were also painted onto the walls. The floor was made up of a wide array of different wood planks. The planks had obviously been recycled, paint flecks and dents from previous owners decorated their surface. Somehow, knowing the wood had been on many adventures, travelled from place to place and hand to hand, and was still going strong, made him smile warmly.

Zane let the the coolness of the air conditioning wash over him as he walked calmly over to a comfy looking green sofa at the side of the shop. He flopped onto the loveseat, allowing himself to sink into the soft pillows as he rested for the first time in nearly sixteen hours. Running a hand through his curled hair, he released a sigh and stood up again. After all, it would be rude to simply lounge around without ordering anything first.

Stepping over to the queue for the checkout counter, he gazed at a menu on a chalkboard behind the till, considering his options. After the person in front had ordered, Zane approached slowly. The man behind the counter looked around thirty and had his black hair tied up in a ponytail and stubble decorated his chin, he wore a brown apron and had a goofy grin on his face,

"Wha' can I ge' ya, kid?"

"Um... I'll have a hot chocolatl please." The man smiled and nodded before reaching below the counter and pulling out a ceramic mug. Zane put two coins down onto the smooth, granite surface and the man slid them into the till before continuing with the drink.

"So," the man continued, "I'm assuming ya no' from around these par's?" Zane nodded, "Up North, per'aps? Auris Village, I would guess, judging by the 'air." The man indicated to his black and white curls. Zane didn't know an Auris village, but he decided to play along anyway,
"Yes, me and my family went on a trip to Ninjago City but we got separated on the way there," Zane's face turned into something of sorrow - fake of course - as he babbled out lies.
"Ah, I see." The man nodded sympathetically, stirring a spoon around in the boiling water, ensuring maximum flavour, "I'm sure ya'll find ya family soon, lad." He patted Zane's shoulder reassuringly as he handed him a steaming mug of chocolatl. He smiled and headed back to his seat, unaware of the new customers that had recently walked in the door.

Zane moved his backpack to the floor and, placing the mug on the coffee table as he did so, removed his hoodie. Despite the air conditioning being on, it was still fairly muggy.
Curling up on the seat, he sipped his hot drink, questioning why he had bought a hot drink in the middle of a heatwave. He internally scolded himself for his foolishness. The bitter liquid burned his tongue and throat as he swallowed,
"Hey," a squeaky voice said at his side, making him jump out of his (not currently) titanium exoskeleton, "Could we join you? All the other seats are full" A skinny, freckled brunette decked in blue asked kindly.

It was Jay!

"I- Uh- Um.. Sure!" Zane stuttered nervously,

"Cool!" Jay jumped onto the sofa, almost knocking the drink out of his hands. Another four ninja joined them, sitting on the sofa or the sets of armchairs that also surrounded the coffee table. Cole, from a armchair to Zane's left, said,
"My name's Cole, Master of Earth. That's Nya, Master of Water" he pointed to the armchair opposite, "Kai, Master of Fire," Cole indicated to the chair to his right, "Jay, Master of Blabber-
