(Tensions are running high and it's not just from the previous violence from Lloyd. Jay knows, and Zane, for some peculiar reason, has no idea what he's talking about...)
The two ninja stared at each other, one filled with confusion and alertness, the other slightly groggy yet vexed. Zane wetted his dry, silver lips slightly as he gazed into the electric blue orbs before him, the nindroid was confused to say the least and his expression voiced his bewilderment. His brows were knitted tightly together, his teeth sinking into his bottom lip, his hair slightly more untamed than usual and his icy pupils darting up to the black ninja in the corner, seeking guidance or help, before quickly meeting up with Jay's once again. Cole watched them nervously from the doorway as they engaged in a silent staring contest, (which Zane would win, of course, but he figured it wasn't quite the right time to say that.) he wanted to do something but he was anxious he would make the feud worse and Jay would end up saying, or doing, something he regretted. The lightning ninja's face soured as his eyes began watering from the lack of blinking plus his loss of sleep didn't aid him, finally after fruitless struggles, attempting to keep his eyes open - he eventually blinked.
The blue ninja groaned audibly at his defeat, his expression flickering between fear and rage before finally stopping at a sorrowful expression. He had so many questions, 'Was it really all a dream?' Jay questioned himself, 'And if so, how in Ninjago did we escape from a heavily fortified, elemental-proof prison with, might I add, gigantic solid brick walls that are practically impossible to climb over?' Jay shook his head, it simply didn't make any sense, 'and if it was real, why isn't Zane acting like anything happened?' His eyes once again flicked to the nindroid that was now standing awkwardly, scratching his nape as he watched Jay think. The lightning ninja felt heat go to his cheeks as he realised he had obviously been standing in thought for a while with the other two staring. He laughed awkwardly and apologised quietly.
"That is quite alright Jay, you do not need to apologise-"
"I was apologising to Cole, not you." Jay said snarkily. He himself was surprised at how cruel he had sounded, he hadn't meant to say it, it had just slipped out. Jay winced slightly as he saw Zane's extremely hurt expression, even paler complexion and slightly red ears from embarrassment.
The nindroid visibly deflated, a look of grief passing over his face and Jay instantly regretted what he had said. The nindroid mumbled a quick apology before beginning to walk to the door. Cole blocked the ice ninja's path,
"No, Zane. Don't you dare go anywhere. You and Jay have," Cole coughed, "fallen out. I'm not letting you two go anywhere until you figure this out!"Cole marched them over to the games room and settled the two quarrelling boys on a set of bean bags located in the corner. Zane was the first to speak,
"I thought you said we wouldn't be going anywhere until we resolved our issue?"
"Yeah."
"I believe we have moved rooms, Cole."
The earth ninja facepalmed, "Well- I- The not moving thing starts now. Got it?" The two boys nodded, "Good. Now Zane, do you have any idea why Jay is mad at you?"
Zane furrowed his brows. He couldn't think of any reason why so he replied, "No, I am afraid not."
Jay muttered something that sounded awfully like, 'Yeah, right!' And Cole mimicked Zane's expression with a worried frown.
"Jay," Zane said slowly, "If there is something you would like to say, then by all means please do."
"There are plenty of thing I would like to say!"
"I'm afraid I don't understand."
"Yes you do! You know what you did-"
"I really don't, Jay!"
