(Whew, almost 3,000 words, neat.
Wait... Kai changed his hairstyle? *gasps dramatically*
And, did Zane just get blackmailed into receiving a gift?
Hehe, yeah, they do more shopping.)

Kai rubbed his eyes and yawned, clearing away the grogginess he felt as he woke up. Mumbling to himself, he threw the covers off him and plodded over to the bathroom, the door swinging open.

Turning on the tap, he cupped handfuls of cool water and splashed it over his face. Grabbing a grey hand towel, he scrubbed at his face, he looked into the mirror to his left and-

He screamed.

His hair! It was all...flat!

A crash sounded in the hallway as Ranger opened the door, which he had obviously forgot to lock, to his room and twisted his head, trying to locate the source of the sound,
"Kai?" Ranger called from outside the door, "Are you okay?"

"No!" Kai shrieked, and he heard Ranger fumble at the doorknob. Ranger burst in the door, his hair as wild as a jungle, yet still awesome and Ranger had panicked eyes,
"Don't look at me!" Kai groaned, burying his head in the towel, "I'm hideous!"

"Not much change then..." Ranger laughed slyly and Kai pummelled him with playful punches,

"Your gonna pay for that, HunterBoy!"

"It's HunterBear, actually."

"I don't care!" Kai screamed, smiling despite himself. Ranger ran into the hallway, Kai hot on his heels. Kai tackled Ranger to the ground and threw more punches to his face,

"Why," he punched at every interval, "Is- your- hair- so- awesome- even- when- it's- messed- up!" Kai panted, trying to catch his breath. Ranger pushed the Master of Fire away with ease and shrugged,

"It's a blessing and a curse, Fireboy." Kai whined at his response, "But, if you want to borrow my hair gel, you can!" Kai clapped his hands and Ranger nodded, "then we better run before Greenie over their spots us," Ranger said, pointing to Lloyd's door that was creaking open.
Kai and Ranger bolted, dashing through the hall towards Ranger's room. They could faintly hear the other ninja calling out in confusion as they shut the door behind them, bursting into peels of laughter.

"Okay, okay. Can you please," Kai giggled as he tried to speak normally, "Do my hair before the others come in."

Ranger chuckled, "Sure," Ranger went over to his bedside table and pulled out a small tube of hair gel, "Now, would you like your messed-up-Fire-boy hair or my awesomely-spiked-but-curly-HunterBear hair?" Kai's face twisted into an expression of indecisiveness as he considered both options. He had to admit, Ranger's hair did look really cool when he saw him yesterday. But Kai would almost feel like he would be betraying his hair by switching to a hairstyle he had kept up since he was able to get his hands of a bottle of gel.

'It wouldn't hurt to try it out...' he bargained.

"I'll have the signature HunterBear look if you wouldn't mind." Ranger nodded and grabbed a hairbrush while guiding him into the bathroom. Kai winced as it brushed out his hundreds of knots.

After combing, his hair was in the same sort of style as Cole's and Kai pulled a face, cringing at the sight of it, making Ranger's chest heave with laughter.

Ranger squeezed a small amount of hair gel onto his hand and went through the same routine he did a few days before, making Kai's hair curl slightly at the ends but not letting it lose the element of spikiness.

Looking at their similar hairstyles, they could probably pass as cousins at some angles. Though in some aspects they appeared like the yin and yang. Both good, yet opposites.
Kai jumped up in excitement, pulling on a hoodie as he grabbed Ranger by the arm and yanked him out of the room, eager to show off his radical hairstyle. The pair strutted in sync down the hallway with linked arms, Kai smiling brightly and Ranger looking at him like he was slightly insane. Together, they walked down the stairs, Kai still unwilling to release Ranger from his firm clasp, and into the hotel cafeteria.
