Fifty Six

I laugh with Ali as we watch another drunk person get escorted out of the building.

"Ali?" I ask getting serious for a second

"Yeah?" She asks looking at me.

"What does Ezra do?" I ask

"He's a gang leader" she tells me and my eyes widen

"What?" I ask shocked

"He runs the Red Vipers, one of the most fearful gangs in the country" she tells me quietly and my face pales.

"Are you okay?" She asks me and i nod

"I just... I need some air" i say before walking away and i knock into someone

"I'm sorry" we both apologise at the same time and the voice is familiar and I look up and my eyes widen.

"Lily?"

"Matt" i breathe

He laughs, "what's with the hair?"

"Dance with me and then we'll talk" i say and we walk into the dance floor

"What are you doing here?" I ask him as we begin to dance together.

"I'm friends with the host" he says, "what are you doing here, I didn't think this was your scene... gangs and shit"

"It's not, I'm here with..." i trail off

"With who?" He asks and I look up to meet his silver eyes, before glancing to the side to see a girl watching us.

Ameila.

I thought they broke up.

"Your back with Amelia?" I ask shocked

"You can't tell anyone, we've been dating in secret for a couple of months. Please Lily you can't tell" he begs me, "if her parents found out about this whole arranged marriage thing they will freak and I don't even know who's going to marry you yet"

"I'll keep your secret, if you keep mine" i say

"And what's yours?" He asks me as we dance to the music

"I have a boyfriend" I whisper, "and he doesn't know about the marriage"

"How long for?" He asks me

"A couple of months but I've known him for months, I really like him Matty" I say honestly

"Then why are you doing this?" He asks me

"I'd rather me suffer then Emma or Lizzie" I say and he sighs

"Your too nice Lily, I'll keep your secret" he says

"Thank you" I breathe

"Everything is such a fucking mess" I say tearing up

"Don't crack up on me Lily" he tells me

"It's actually Ella" i tell him and he chuckles

"Just relax, you look like you need it" he tells me

"I don't think I can do this anymore" I say shaking my head.

Why am I pouring my heart out to him?

"Hey" he says as we stop dancing and his hands cup my face, "it's all going to work out"

I shake my head, "no, how do you know?"

"It always works out Lily, someway or another" he says before hugging me, taking me by surprise and i hug him back for a few seconds before pulling away.
