Eight

We walk into the house my family is staying in and Emma rushes over to me, "hi!"

"Hi!" I say hugging her

"I know that voice" Leo says walking around the corner with a big smile on his face

"How is everyone?" I ask giving him a hug

"Lily!" Lizzie says with a big smile on his face

"How are you doing? How was your sleep?" I ask her

"You didn't say bye" she says frowning

"I was going to but I didn't want to wake you up because you like your sleep" I tell her

"Oh yeah, I forgot. Thanks for not waking me" she says and I laugh

"It's no problem" I say

I hear Leo clear his voice and I roll my eyes at him.

"Lydia, Izzy, this is my brother Leo, and my two sisters Emma and Lizzie" I say

They all get acquainted and my eyes land on my mum.

"Mum!" I say excitedly and her head snaps to me and she smiles

"Oh my baby!" She says and I walk over to her and hug her

"I've missed you so much! How is school?" She asks me

"It's good, quite full on" i say

"She's already been on a date!" Izzy chimes and I glare at her

"Who's been on a date?" My dad asks

"Lily" Izzy says and I glare at her again

"It wasn't a date" i say and my mum smiles

"It's a project for marine biology, we just needed somewhere to work on and we went to a cafe" i say

"I don't mind if you date anyone, I dated a fair share before I got married" my mum says

"I mind, your far too young" my dad says

"You know your saying that with full knowledge I'm getting married next year" i say

"Oh yeah" he says

"Look you have a year off, let loose a bit" my mum says and before my dad can protest she drags him away.

"Sam!" I say happily as I see.... I don't like to say the word butler but he's our butler.

"Princess Lily" he says with a big smile

"How many times must I ask you to call me lily" I say

"My apologies" he says

"So how have you been?" I ask him

"Very well, I must say it's been quieter without you. But I heard you are going to school... undercover is that right?" He asks

I nod, "it is, it's very different I just say but it's nice to unwind a bit before my life gets hectic again"

"Ah yes, you've got a lot coming your way in the next few years" he says and i nod

"Is this your family?" I ask gesturing to the people behind him

"Yes, Lily I'd like you to meet my wife carol and my son Freddie" he says

"It's lovely to meet you ma'am" his wife says

"No need for the formalities, I'm lily" i say and she smiles

I glance down to her son and kneel down, "how old are you Freddie?"

He holds up four fingers.

"Four!" I say shocked and he smiles, "your catching up to me! Well more like my siblings"

He laughs, "your going to have the height difference"

I smile, "In a few years, you never know. You might overtake me"

"I might do!" He says with a big smile

"You look very smart in your suit" i tell him

"Thank you but it took me a while to get it on my myself, mummy had to come and help me because I put everting on in the wrong order" he says and i smile

"Practice makes perfect Freddie" i say

"Can I give you a hug? Your very nice to me" he asks

I nod, "yes you can"

He hugs me and i hug him back, "wow, your the be hugger i know"

"I'm the best" he says and i chuckle as he let's go

I stand up, "it was very nice meeting you all"

"You too" carol says

"Bye Freddie!" I say before giving in a quick wave

"By lily!" He says cheefully, waving back and i smile before walking away

"She's lovely" I hear Carol say

"She is, she's going to be a great queen" I hear Sam tell her

"She's great! And she likes my hugs" Freddie says and i smile to myself before I head around to talk to everyone else.
