I walk out of school and into the car park.

"Points system" Alex says running up to me

"What?" I ask

"Are you still coming to the cafe?" He asks

"Like your girlfriend will allow that" i say

"She doesn't need to know" he says

"Okay" i say with a shrug and i get into his car

"So is she your ex then?" I ask

"Yeah, how could you tell?" He asks me

"You know, just the jealous overprotective desperate ones seems like your type" i say and he laughs

"I don't think it will last long" he says

"Then why go out with her?" I ask

"Because she asks me everyday and it's so annoying, I just did it so she would stop annoying me but it's just made it more annoying" he says

"Want my advice?" I ask him

"Sure"

"Avoid her like the plague" i say and he laughs as we drive out of the school car park

"I'm being serious, just avoid her and she won't annoy you. Trust me it works" I say

"And who have you needed to avoid?" He asks me

"You have no idea how many people I've tried it on" i say and he's about to say something but my phone is ringing.

I look to see my grandma.

"Hello?" I ask

"Hello! Lily is your grandma" she says and i smile

"I know it's you grandma it comes up every time you ring me" i say

"Really?" She asks

"Yes" I say with a chuckle

"Well, you would have thought someone over the years would have told me!" She says and i chuckle

"So what's up?" I ask her

"I'm just ringing to see how America is" she says

"America's alright" i say

"It's a shithole right?" She asks and I laugh

"Yeah it is, mainly the people but some are alright" i say

"I've always preferred england, maybe that's because I was queen for fifty years" she says and i chuckle

"Yeah I think that's for something to do with it" i say and she laughs

"Excuse me your majesty, one of the corgies is sick" a voice says and my grandma gasps

"Lily, I'm got to go! It's an emergency" she says before hanging up

I chuckle and put my phone away.

"Your so British" he says with a chuckle

"And? Your so american, that's definitely more of an insult!" I say and he nods

"Fair enough" he says and i laugh as we pull up outside of the cafe

"How do you know Mary?" I ask him

"I work here" he says

"Ella! It's lovely to see you again!" Mary says
