We all sit around the table eating out dinner mum made for us. Chicken and slimming world chips.

My mums been with sliming world for years so when she makes dinner it automatically means we're on it as well.

"So mum, what's this charity hall?" I ask

"Right, I forgot to tell you. It's formal dress, obviously" she says like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

"and it's for the global sports foundation" my mum tells me and i nod

"What day?" I ask

"Sunday afternoon" my dad says and i nod.

"It should be fun" i say

"So dad, how was work?" Leo asks

"It was good, I have to fly to New York in two weeks for a United Nations meeting" he says and i nod

All of a sudden Emma gasps and i flinch, "let's go ball gown shopping tomorrow!"

"I can't I'm working" I say

"Umm after school? Monday?" She asks and i nod

"Sounds good to me! Oh I'm so excited!" I say

"Can I come?" Lizzie asks

"Of course you can!" Emma says and Lizzie smiles

"Great!" Leo says sarcastically, "looks like I'm going as well"

"No ones forcing you to go" i say

"Alright will you stop begging, I'll go" he says and i laugh

Leo hates shopping but not as much as he hates being on his own. He gets lonely really easily so he likes to always do things with us... even though he hates it.

I smile at him and he just take a drink of his drink.

I walk into work and I keep thinking of this ball this weekend.

I also keep thinking how everyone is getting into a relationship and I'm here sat in the middle awkwardly.

"Morning Ella" Mary says

"Good morning!" I say smiling

"How was your weekend?" She asks me

"Great! I got to see people that I've not seen in a long time! What about you?" I ask her

"Great, my sister flew in from Colorado and went went out for dinner" she says

"It sounds like you had a great time" i say

"I did!" She says and i smile

"Mary, is there any chance i and change my Sunday shift next week. It's my cousins birthday next Sunday and there's a meal I've been invited to" i lie

"Don't worry dear, that's alright. You can just work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday if that's okay?" She asks and I nod

"Good with me, thank you" i say

"No thank you for letting me know, my other employees don't usually let me know until a few days before" she says

"That's not very good" i say

"It really isn't" she says

The door opens and Alex walks in looking half asleep, "wow, what happened to you?"

"New kid in the room next to me has a sleeping machine and falls asleep to jungle noises. It's not good" he says and i laugh

"It's not funny" he says

"It is" Mary says before walking away and Alex just stares at her unimpressed and i smirk before turning away and i start to clean the coffee machine

"So how was your weekend?" He asks me

"Really good actually, yours?" I ask

"It was alright, I helped one of the kids who broke his leg get downstairs. That the most eventful thing that happened" he says and i chuckle

"So how is everything going with the american football stuff?" I ask him

"Good, first game of the season is this Thursday. It's an away game though" he says and i nod

"Well good luck" i tell him, "what time is the game?"

"Half seven" he says and i nod

"What days are you working this week?" He asks me

"Wednesday, Thursday and Friday" i tell him

"Your not working on Sunday?" He asks me

"Not this week" i say

"Why?" He asks

"Because I have a cousin in America and it's his birthday so I'm going to a birthday meal" I tell him

"Sounds boring" he says

"Oh I don't think this one is going to be boring" i say

I glance over to the other side of the cafe to see two people, one with my blonde wig on. One with my dads massive coat on.

"You've got to be kidding me" i mumble

I walk over to them, "what are you two prats doing here?"

"Oh hello Lil, I didn't know you work here" Leo says and I glare at him

"What are you doing here?" I ask

"We wanted to see your mystery man, it looks like you two are getting a long very very well" Emma says

"Get out" i hiss through gritted teeth

"No" Leo and Emma say at the same time and the door of the cafe opens and I see Lydia and Izzy walk inside.

"Oh my god" i grumble as they walk towards us

"Hey" Lydia says whilst giving Leo a hug

"Hey darling" Leo says and i smile at them

"Aww you guys are cute" i say

"Yeah well we came to see you and Alex get your grind on at work" Izzy says and I just give her an unamused look

"We want to find information about what's going on" Lydia says

"Oh yeah, well I'll give you information. Emma is dating Cruz Beckham" i say

"What!?" Izzy and Lydia shriek

I smirk and let the madness unfold and I walk away.

"What was that about?" Alex asks me

"Just some gossip" i say and he nods

"Hey you doing anything on Tuesday?" He asks me

"No why?" I ask

"I've been asked to give a speech for kids in care homes and i was hoping you could help me write it?" He asks

I smile, "yeah alright, sounds good to me"

"Thanks, everyone's expecting me to come up with some fucking miracle of a speech and I can't even form two sentences without swearing" he says and i laugh

"Don't stress, I'll help you" i say before turning to see them all staring at me with smirks on their faces.

"Fuck off" i lip read to them and they all laugh
