"Can we make a deal?"
"What's that?"
"If we win together, you'll allow us to leave this game— no, this world of yours. BUT— if one of us dies, we'll remain for the next one."
"Not bad. Dragging souls with you. I'm interested on how will you accomplish this. Sure, it's a deal."
"Thy words will be proof that such promise will be bound by space and time. Thy promise will not be broken, even by the waves of time." I uttered.
"Very well. Thy promise I shall keep within the depths of time, to be released once fulfilled." They agreed.
"So which team will we be on?" I asked.
"I can't guarantee that both of you will be on the same team though, so if that happens, I suggest dying together. They'll forget what happened anyways." They answered.
"Oh and by the way, you onlh get to keep your memories, so you won't forget your goal. It'd be unfair of me to keep a promise if you have already forgotten about it." They added.
"Much appreciated." I nodded, taking those tips into account.
"A round is about to start. I'll send you to the site now."
"Good luck, Lara." They smiled.
