~Kenzie's POV🌹~

I got Annie back to the Orlando's.
I just wanted her to get some rest and to forget all that happened tonight.

I closed the door of Lauren's room and met John and Lauren in John's room. I walked in and closed the door behind me.
Lauren:Now, tell us what happened
Kenzie:Annie was almost raped by Joey Birlem
They both looked at me in shock
Johnny:Oh my god
Lauren:Is she okay?
Kenzie:I think so, Hayden and I must have came right before Joey went any farther
Lauren:Oh, I feel so bad for her
Johnny:Do you know how it happened?
Kenzie:He drugged her and brought her upstairs
We all take in the silence that filled the room.
Lauren:I'm gonna go check on her
I nod and Lauren goes to check on Annie.

~Annie's POV👼🏼~
I was laying in Lauren's bed and she came out her bathroom and layed next to me.
Lauren:Are you okay, Annie?
Annie:I think so, I just feel very weak and tired
Lauren:It'll get better, I promise
I sit up and remember what I found in my sweater pocket. Lauren then sits up next to me
Lauren:What is it?
Annie:I found this weird thing in my sweater pocket
I pulled it out from my sweater and Lauren just drops her jaw
Annie:Do you know what it is?
Lauren didn't say anything for a few seconds
Lauren:We'll talk about it in the morning, here give it to me
I give it to Lauren and she shoves it under the bed
Lauren:We'll deal with it tomorrow, okay? Just get some rest
I nod and lay back down and feel myself fall in a deep sleep.

~Kenzie's POV🌹~
Lauren left John and I alone in his room. Which was pretty awkward.
After tonight, I don't think I can ever picture us together differently.
Johnny:That party was a total bust
Kenzie:I agree
Johnny:Well, except for...that one moment
We looked each other in the eyes and I could feel the butterflies come alive in my stomach again.
Kenzie:Yeah, well I have been thinking about...that one night
Johnny:I have to. Have you made a decision yet?
Kenzie:I think so
Johnny:And?
I step closer to him and he looks up at me.
Kenzie:Um...I don't know how to do this or say this, but...I like you, John. I always have
He grabs my hand and smiles at me
Johnny:I like you too, Kenz
Kenzie:All of my previous boyfriends never understood me like you do. I never had a real connection with them. It was always one-sided.
Johnny:Yeah, we've always been pretty close, haven't we?
Kenzie:We have
Johnny:Why did it take so long for us to realize?
Kenzie:Well, Lauren never wanted me to associate myself with you. Which I recently found out is because she didn't want you to take me away from her
Johnny:I would never do that. I mean you were her first best friend
Kenzie:And I was just too scared you wouldn't feel the same way
Johnny:But I have for the longest time now
Kenzie:Which made me date other people because I was scared
Johnny:Well, now that is all behind us. Because we now feel the same way, and we know now how much we care about each other and you don't have to feel scared anymore
I smiled at him and he pulled me gently on his lap. He put his hands on my hips and brought me closer to him.
We were staring into each other's eyes and I felt safe and loved in his presence. He pushed a piece of my hair behind my ear.
Kenzie:I leave on Saturday, so we won't be able to spend as much time together
Johnny:Then we better not waste a second
He leaned in and brought his lips to mine.

A few hours passed and John and I were laying together talking. He had his arms wrapped around my waist. I looked over at his side table and saw it said 4:12am
Kenzie:Are we gonna stay up all night?
Johnny:Well, being with you right now is better than wasting the time sleeping
I smiled at him and kissed him
Kenzie:But I'm tired and we have to get ready for school in a couple hours
Johnny:We can stay up a couple more hours, can't we?
He reached over and pushed a piece of hair behind my ear
Kenzie:Well, you can stay up if you want, but i'm sleeping
I placed my hands on his chest and fell asleep.
