Twenty-one

"I think I'm in love with you."

Jennie feels like a thousand voltage of electricity shocked her whole existence. In front of her and their family is her stupid wife telling her that she thinks she is in love with her.

The older woman's eyes were fixed to her, not letting any movement escape from her eyes.

"I know I told you I was willing to wait and I still do, believe me, Jennie. I am still willing to wait. But this feeling that starting to grow inside me, I cannot hide it anymore. I want to let you know, I want you to know that I think I am falling in love with you."

"Y...you are still not sure about your feelings Jisoo." Jennie finally spoke up.
"Stop speaking nonsense if you are not 100 percent sure of what is it your mouth is spitting out."

"Are you afraid?"

"I am not afraid." Jennie lifts her eyes to Jisoo. "I just don't want my hopes to disappoint me, one day."

"If my feelings towards you are a hundred percent sure, are you willing to return it?"

"To tell you frankly Jisoo, I wasn't sure what I really feel towards you. Two months is such a short time for us to say that we are growing feelings inside us for each other." Jennie smile. "You told me you are willing to wait. Keep your promise, we have a lot of times ahead of us to learn more about each other and maybe fall in love with each other. Our marriage is for a lifetime, I have no plans on ending it or cheat on you or fall in love with someone else. Rest assured that even I cannot love you, I am willing to be faithful to you as your wife. And I am hoping you are too. I will do my best not to disappoint you and do my duties as your wife."

"But you will tell me if ever you fall in love with me."  Jisoo holds Jennie's hand. "And I promise not to cheat on you, look with other girls. I will be faithful and do everything that will make you and our future child happy. This marriage may be arranged by our families, and I may hate it before, but now that I learned to know you, despite our quarrel and bickering my hearts didn't stop falling for you. I promise to be the best partner, friend, enemy." Jisoo laugh as well as Jennie.
"and 'huswife' to you."

"That's all I need from you Jisoo"

Jisoo pulls her wife and imprisoned her little body in her arms. While the parents cannot help but smile as they witnessed the young couple's conversation. They believe that they made the right decision, pairing them together and forcing them to marry each other. Jisoo has fallen in love with Jennie and the latter may deny it for now but the oldies who witness the sweet conversation knew that the younger girl is slowly fallen for Jisoo too. She may deny it now, but sooner or later she will have no choice but to admit her feelings.

"Aigoo, kids these days are so in denial," Jennie's father says.
"In our days, if we like someone or love them, we told them straight, we are afraid that someone might steal them from us if we keep on playing hard to get."

"You are right, my friend. When I first saw my wife" Jisoo's father smile,
"and fall in love with her, that very moment I told her that I love her, look us now after 25 years. Still in love with each other." Jisoo's father lovingly looks at her wife.
"Right honey?"

Jisoo's mother just smiles and nod at her husband, while Jennie's father who don't want her wife to be left out gave her wife a back hug and whispers sweet I love you's in her ears.

"Oh, God!" Jisoo grabs her wife's hand and dragged her away.
"Let's get out of here, they are giving me goosebumps, I don't want my child to see this." Jisoo held out her hands on her wife's tummy pretending to cover the unborn child's eyes.

Jennie laugh. "Your child is not yet fully develop. She or he can't see that yet."

"I don't want to take chances and ruin my Junior's innocence."

"Junior?"

"Yes, this child will be the next Kim Jisoo" Jisoo smile. "My little man."

"Excuse me, Kim but my child will be a beautiful girl."

"Oh no, he will be my little warrior."

"Dream on, I am her mother, I can feel that she will be my beautiful princess."

The couple continues to bickers on what the child gender will be.

"Yah! My child won't be a clueless human like you!"

"And definitely not a mean girl like you!"

"Okay, okay, let's separate you two before we see a puddle of blood here." Jisoo's father grabs her daughter
"Come on child, join me and your father- in-law to prepare the meat for the grill later at dinner."

"But dad, it isn't lunch yet." Jisoo looks at her father. "and you are thinking about dinner."

"We have to marinate the meat, Chu." Jennie's father dragged the poor girl away.
"We don't want my Jennie to claw your throat if you continue to bickers with her."

Jisoo looks behind her and sees Jennie glaring at her.
"Y..yeah let's go catch the pig."
