Thirty-four

"W...wa...ter..."

Jisoo's hand stopped in mid-air hearing a husky dry voice asking for water. A voice that she misses so much.

Could it be?

Slowly she turns her head behind her. Her tears voluntarily fall seeing the woman she loves so much looking straight at her.

"Jennie...." She whispers softly.

Jisoo doesn't know what she should do. Her feet were nailed in her spot. She can't move it, she can't move her body.

Is it a dream?

Can someone slap her now?

"J...Jisoo.. Wa.....ter..."

Hearing Jennie called her name, asking for water brought back Jisoo to her senses. Quickly she went to the table near Jennie's bed and pour a half-full glass of water for her wife. Helping her wife to slightly sitting, before she lets her drink slowly.

"Jennie..." That's all she can say. She can't believe her wife is finally awake.

"Jis....so, w..hat happened?"

Jisoo put her fingers in her wife's lips. "Don't talk yet wife" Jisoo wipes her own tears. It is not a dream her wife is awake. "I will call the doctor."

Jisoo pushed the button connected to the nurse's station and told them that her wife is finally awake.

Jennie didn't let go of Jisoo's hand as she is being checked by the doctors. There is fear in her eyes when she saw the nurses and doctors approaching her.

"Jisoo seems your wife's health is almost stable. But we have to keep a close eye on her there is a  possibility that she might go back in a comatose state." The doctor told Jisoo, "do not leave her unattended and call us if something happens."

After checking on Jennie, the doctor left the room. Jennie's eyes followed them and she had a glimpse of men wearing military uniform.

"Chu...w..hat happened?"

"You don't remember about the accident?"

The words accident made Jennie's eyes grew bigger. Her hands automatically went to her stomach but the bump wasn't there anymore. Her tears fell.

"our baby?

Jisoo wipes her wife's tears.

"Shhh..  Don't cry our babies are okay. They are safe."

"B...babies?"

"We have two beautiful baby girl just like you." Jisoo smiles softly. Her eyes were lovingly staring at her beautiful wife.

"W..here a..re they?"

"They are in there. You deliver them through C-section last night. And needed to be in that incubator to be safe."

"Are they okay? Can I see them?"

Jisoo smile. "Of course you can."

Jisoo stood up and went to her little girls. "Hey girls, mommy wants to see you."

Slowly she pushed the incubator near her wife's bed. She then helps Jennie to sit up so she can see their babies.

"Chu, they are beautiful and tiny." Jennie's tears fell.

"Beautiful like you." She sits behind Jennie and gave her a back hug. "Thank you, for giving me these wonderful gifts." Jisoo's tears fell on her wife's shoulder.

"Chu... My accident...is it.."

"Not accident." Jisoo tightened her arms around Jennie avoiding her wounds in her tummy. "It was Kai."

"No, not yet. But we are doing our best to find him. We have all the places and friends he might go secured." Jisoo sigh. "We should be careful. Thats why dad, had his connection in the military send few if their men here, to protect you, the kids..us. Not only once Kai tried to get you."

"And also, when you get discharged decided to stay in your parents home until we had Kai. Just for the meantime. So they can also help us look after the babies."

Jennie just nod and look at the kids. "Have you given them a name?"

"Not yet. I was waiting for you so you could name this little angels."

"I want their names to be Ah-Reum and So- Rim." Jennie smile leaning her body to her wife.

"Kim Ah-reum and Kim So-rim. Beautiful names fit for our princesses."

"Chu...Im hungry."

"I've call our parents and mom told me they are bring porridge for you since you can't take solid food just yet."

Jennie just nod and ask for more water. She feel like she had a very long walk under a blazing hot sun. Her throat is dry but Jisoo wont give her so much water. She have to drink every 3 minutes.

Jisoo cant take her eyes off of her wife. It seems like she is still dreaming. After a months being comatose, her wife finally woken up. She feel sad how tired she looks, how she drop her weight.

"Why?"

"You look thinner."

Jennie just smile.

"We have to feed you healthy food. Feed you a lot to gain your weight back."

"I bet you will."

Jisoo let go of her wife. "Come on,you cant stay sitting for a long time, lie down again and rest. Our Moms will be here sooner."

Jennie just nod and close her eyes. Her hand was holding Jisoo's tightly. Afraid to let it go. She is afraid to go back in that dark palce. Holding her wife's hand made her feel secure.

"Close your eyes love, i will be here when you open them."

"Don't let go of my hand. Im scared." Jennie plead.

Jisoo lie down next to her wife and use her arm to be Jennie's pillow. She hugged her wife's waist and pulls her closer.

"I wont let you go."
