WEI YING

Lan Wangji and Jiang Wanyin both put their heads down, they didn't know what the two men were talking about but they were sure it had something to do with the siege in the Nightless City. 

The two men then faced Lan Xichen and Jiang Yanli and said, "we are proud to have heirs like the both of you, you are both extremely kind, you both think of others before you think of yourself and you don't go on blaming others for your benefit which I can't say for everyone else present in the room."

Sect leader Jiang further bowed his head down as he knew this comment was directed towards him.

 Lan Xichen wanted to calm the situation, so he faced the two men and spoke, "Lan Sect founder, Jiang Sect founder how are you both here, how can we see you?" 

The two men then smiled at them and replied, "Baoshan Sanren is our teacher and our mother, she took us in when we didn't know what to do with our lives and how to survive. She took care of us and helped us cultivate. Once we had strong golden cores, she taught us how to cultivate the five elements, but the five of us were not skilled enough, to cultivate all the five elements. We were able to cultivate only in one element, Jiang Chi here cultivated in water, while I cultivated in wood and then there are three more of us, the Wen Sect founder, the Lanling  Jin Sect founder and Nie Sct founder, they cultivated in fire, metal and earth(soil). After we all attained a certain level of cultivation, we started our sects to help others cultivate, years later when our heirs took the role of Sect leaders, we left our sects and went back to Baoshan Sanren and cultivated with her and eventually became immortals."

The four guests listened to their sect leaders and were shocked for they didn't know all of this. "If Baoshan Sanren taught them, then is she also an immortal, is that why she looks so young?", was all the four cultivators thought. 

Jiang Wanyin couldn't control his curiosity and questioned Baoshan Sanren, "are you also an immortal?" 

Baoshan Sanren smiled and said, "I have been an immortal since I was born."

The four guest cultivators looked at her with a bewildered expression for they didn't know what she meant. 

She further explained, "both my parents are immortal, hundreds of years back, when I came to earth to cultivate, I saw that there was nothing but chaos, people betraying each other, brothers killing brothers, the powerful trampling the weaker. Well, I could say the same thing still exists (looking at Jiang Wanyin), you've proven that cultivation can never overpower the dark human heart. Anyways, so, I took in the ones who were kind and were looked down upon and were outcasted by society. I taught them how to cultivate, so, that they could stand up for themselves and fight for the weaker ones. For this reason, I was punished by the then King of the Heavenly kingdom, as I opened a door for humans to ascend to heaven. When the Emperor of the Heavenly Kindom was convinced that only the pure-hearted ones could ascend to Heaven as immortals, he reduced my punishment and said that I would have to stay in the mortal realm as long as the cultivation world would exist, but I could never take part in the affairs of the mortal world, I would just have to see the suffering of the weaker and poorer ones."

Jiang Wanyin scoffed, "the Heaven Emperor sounds so full of himself, just because you helped and not him, he gave you such a harsh punishment. Some King he is..."

Jiang Wanyin was cut down by a loud and angry voice, "how dare you!", Everyone looked at the source of the voice, it was Baoshan Sanren's grandson. 

The masked man whose eyes showed no emotion till now were now filled with rage and anger.

Seeing his anger, the 4 guests stood in shock and fear, for they could feel the strong energy around him. The 2 sect founders bowed down and repeatedly said, "Crown Prince, please calm down, we apologise for the mistakes of our heirs." 

This further confused Lan Xichen, Lan Wangji, Jiang Wanyin and Jiang Yanli. Why did the founders of their sect bow down in front of the masked man? Why did they apologise to him for Jiang Wanyin's mistake? Why did they call him Crown Prince? Does he belong to the Royal family, but the Royal family never gets involved in the cultivation world. The Royal family takes care of the common population, people who are not connected to the cultivation world. So, how did he learn to cultivate? Did Baoshan Sanren teach him, after all, he is her grandson? And since he has such a strong and powerful golden core, why did not join any sect? Why did he choose to be a rogue cultivator?

It had been quite some time, no one uttered a word, the Jiang Sect founder disappeared somewhere and the Lan Sect founder still remained bowed down. Baoshan Sanren was trying to calm her grandson down yet the rage in his eyes didn't seem to fade.

Suddenly there was a bright glow in the room and a man in his mid-30s entered the room and Jiang Sect founder followed behind him. This man went near the masked man and held his shoulder, the masked man still hadn't noticed the presence of this man. So, the man in his 30s sighed and calmly spoke in a soft manner, "Wei Ying, calm down. Listen to me."

Wei Ying came back to his senses and realized the presence of the old man and looked at him and bowed down. The old man raised the younger one and smiled at him.

Lan Xichen, Lan Wangji, Jiang Wanyin and Jiang Yanli remained shocked by this revelation, the man they were looking for was standing in front of them with anger in his eyes. 

Wei Ying? Did this man say, Wei Ying? This masked man is our Wei Ying? Why didn't he acknowledge us last night? Why does he want to stay away from us? Does he hate us? Is that why he didn't come to us in the past 5 years? How did he get a golden core? Why are our Sect founders bowing to him? Why are they apologising to him? So, Cangse Sanren was not only Baoshan Sanren's disciple, but also her daughter, which explains how she is Wei Wuxian's grandmother? Why did they call him Crown Prince, wasn't he a son of a servant, well at least that's what mother/ Madam Yu said? Thought the Jiang siblings and Lan Xichen.

While, Lan Wangji pondered, Wei Ying? Did he really say, Wei Ying? You really are my Wei Ying? My Love, I finally found you. Where were you all this time? What happened to you? Why didn't you come to me? Why didn't to speak to me yesterday? Do you... Do you hate me, My love? My Wei, I will make up for everything? Ying-er are you okay? Love, how did you get a golden core? Why are our sects founders apologising to you for that ungrateful Jiang's mistake? Why did they call you Crown Prince? Love what actually happened to you in these 5 years? Are you in any pain? Don't worry Love, now that I have found you I will heal all your wounds and never leave your side. If you... if you hate me, then I will make you fall in love with me. But I'm never letting you out of my sight.

All of their minds stopped working and Lan Wangji longingly uttered, "Wei Ying".
