Chapter twenty-three

Asami's Pov

At first, Korra didn't notice me, so I had a chance to study what she had prepared. And this view swept me off my feet. There was a soft blanket on the sand and it was illuminated by both the moonlight and fireflies in glass jars. How did she do this? Is that wine, where did she even find that? I had no clue. Korra walked to me and gave me a kiss.

Korra: you look so dreamy

When I caught my breath I lost again, I noticed what korra was wearing this evening. The view was surprising, but suited her very well. She was wearing a navy blue button down with suited black pants. Her formal side made me weak in my knees.

Korra: you are starting

Asami: red and blue huh?

Korra: what coincidence, the famous matching colors. I mean I had a feeling you were gonna choose the red one, and it suits you well Ms.Sato. Now come on

We both sat down on the blanket.

Asami: Such a romantic scenery

Korra: thanks, I had a sudden hint of inspiration when I found the wine and glasses on the plane

Asami: I am surprised it did not broke during the plane crashed

Korra: yea lucky us

Asami: I love it, and those fireflies... it is amazing. How did you catch them?

Korra: oh, it was nothing. I just spent hours waving a shirt in the air to lure them in the jars.

Asami: sounds like you had fun

Korra: yeah, the things you do for - um, shall we make a toast?

Asami: sure , is it safe though?

Korra: I would say it is safer than everything else we eat or drink on this island. And the percentage of the cactus juice in it is 5 percent. So it is low

Korra sts the wine glasses up and gives me one.

Korra: to... us

Asami: to the future,

Both: *take a sip*

Asami: wow this is pretty good

Korra: I told you

Asami: so, we are on a date

Korra: yep, our first date

Asami: what is the occasion?

Korra: you know, I got to know your lips quite well. Not to mention the other parts of your body. *winks*, but I wanted to try something more casual. An innocent conversation. As if we just met each other, so can we play this game?

Asami: *giggles* Will we have the typical date question too?

Korra: only if you want to

Asami: oh I love to. Cats or dogs?

Korra: dog, I have a dog but she stayed with my parents when I left for the city. You?

Asami: I prefer dogs, cats never liked me. When was your first date?

Korra: there was this one girl from the survival camp, we were talking a lot and she was from the southern tribe too so I took her to outside cinema. It was a horror movie

Asami: oo bad choose for a first date

Korra: Yeah, hse didn't like it. We didn't talk after that

Asami: that rough

Korra: not really

Asami: okay last question how many girlfriends you had.
