seungcheol had woken up that morning to see "nametag ripping" scrawled on their timetable for today.

he groaned. nametag ripping was in no way a suitable activity for them to do this early on in camp, especially not when the kids hadn't been disciplined well enough yet.

seungcheol peered closer at the board. he groaned even louder as he recognised the untidy handwriting immediately.

he then shifted his gaze to the window. sure enough, the perpetrator was right there, playing with mud in the vegetable fields.

"yoon jeonghan?" he yelled, staring out his cabin window.

jeonghan stared at him innocently as he cupped dirt in his hands.

"what the fuck is nametag ripping doing on our planner?"

jeonghan blinked back at him innocently. "i dunno. ask the rest."

"this is your handwriting," seungcheol frowned. "you know we can't have that game, especially not when the kids haven't been sufficiently terrorised yet."

"oh come on, cheol. seokmin suggested it yesterday and it sounded fun," jeonghan yelled back. "i thought we all could use some healthy competition."

"healthy my ass. i know you're looking to break someone's bones."

"how did you know?" jeonghan's grin was blinding.

"what else can i expect from you?" seungcheol sighed, shutting the window.

jihoon and seokmin were discussing good strategies in the cafeteria when the door creaked open.

jihoon groaned as soonyoung ran up to him with peanuts up his nose.

"you told me to shove my nuts up my nose, so i did!" soonyoung grinned.

"shut the fuck up," jihoon glared, his eyes literally shooting lasers.

"calm down, will you two? you can get to ripping him apart once we're on the battlefield," seokmin said.

"he's my counselor. i can't rip him apart. we're supposed to work together. blegh."

"if it makes you any happier, half of the kids are going after soonyoung because he's apparently an easy target," seokmin whispered. "you can join them."

jihoon stared at soonyoung, who was trying to snort so that he could get the peanuts out.

"...yeah. he'll be an easy target alright."

"wanna pair up, jeonghan?" seungcheol asked.

jeonghan tugged on his shoelaces. "i don't know, cheol. are you competent enough for my skills?"

"your skills involve cheating and being a sore loser."

"see? you're much too incompetent for me. fuck off."

"yeah, and what happens when you're too tired to chase after someone?"

"thing is, cheol, i'm going after a very specific prey. brute force isn't gonna work," jeonghan dusted off his hands.
