since i was young
i yearned for sad endings
to feel tears
to feel pain
to feel
i don't know exactly why
perhaps i will never
maybe so that i know i'm not alone
in experiencing pain
to know my suffering
could be worse
that the worst emotions
are the only ones
that can make me feel
or that happy endings
are truly the most painful ones
because they're the ones
i know i will never have
