"Saan ka nanggaling na babaita ka, ha? Uwi ba 'to ng matinong babae?"

I laughed at Michelle when she confronted me in front of our apartment. She was about to go to school and Yiv walked me home because he filed a leave too. Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit. Ako lang naman ang may sakit.

"We were together," Yiv said that made Mitch's eyes go wide.

"Sinasabi ko na nga ba, Sir Yukio! Bad influence ka kay Bianca! Support ko pa naman kay—"

"'Wag na OA, Mitch. Masakit ulo ko." I smiled a little before entering our apartment.

Finally, peace.

"Bianca."

I almost spit the water from my mouth because of shock. I turned around and saw Yiv who was on the doorstep. He looked like a stray kitten with his hands on his back. Ang laki-laki niya tapos para siyang higanteng naligaw sa apartment namin.

"Wae ajig yeogi issni? (Why are you still here?)," I asked. He fixed his glasses.

"You're sick, right? I can't leave you alone. I'm one of the main reasons why it has gotten worse."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko. "Eh, paano kung mahawa ka?!"

He looked shock with my shout. I seldomly shout. Siguro nagaya na 'ko kay Mitch kasi lagi kaming magkasama. When he recovered, he spoke again.

"It's okay. My system is almost immune to this kind of diseases." He smiled at me but I just sneered at disbelief. I just nodded before going to my room to change my clothes. It was so hot and I'm already sweaty because of my fever.

After I changed clothes, I saw him just sitting like a behave man on the couch. I don't know why but I found it so cute. He has always been a gentleman in my eyes, prim and proper. But this simple gesture can melt my heart for some reason.

"Yiv?" I called him.

He eyed me and stared for a moment before answering.

"I think I'm okay now. Ako na lang bahala sa sarili ko. Hindi na 'ko teenager. I'm already 23."

I saw his eyebrows furrowed. "You're 23?" I nodded. "Four-year gap..." I heard him whisper so I knitted my forehead. "Mwo? (What?)"

He shook his head. "Amugeosdo. Just call me if anything happens. Do you have a phone? (Nothing.)"

Nahihiya akong umiling. Hindi pa kasi ako nakakabili. But I really needed to buy even just a second hand because gadgets are essential in the modern world. Para na rin ma-contact ko sila Mama.

"But we have a landline. You can just... write your number here," I suggested before giving him a memo note.

The tip of our fingers suddenly touched when I gave him the memo and I felt static electricity in it. I almost shrieked in pain but I just hid my finger behind my back so that he won't be worried at me anymore.

He was writing his number and I saw the veins of his hands protruding. Seems like a good doctor. I swallowed my saliva. Shameless, Blanche. Ang ugat kasi!

Nahahawa na talaga ako kay Michelle!

"Here." He leaned in to give the memo to me before flashing a small smile.
