Flakes

I will not back down now that I am certain of my sentiments and have proven that I genuinely like Yiv.

"So... have you and... your ex talked yet—I mean—"

He's adorable. I smiled before nodding politely. As usual, we went to the canteen to have our lunch. It had nearly become a habit. I was pleased with it since, at the very least, we were interacting.

I had assumed that after meeting him, I would never fall in love again. I was prepared to stay unmarried for the rest of my life. I'd already decided that Lero would be my final lover...

Pero sana naman hindi, 'no?

"How was it?"

I only noticed how his lips curled as he spoke. Is it natural for him to get more attractive in my eyes every day? It's almost as if he's more gorgeous without even trying.

"It was good. And we talked about my father. Lawyer pala siya," I added. He stopped for a while and looked at his spoon and fork before lifting his head to look at me again.

"When he came back... do you still like him?"

"No."

"Why?"

I eyed him curiously. What does he want me to answer? Para naman akong na-hot seat dahil sa tanong niya. Kung siya kaya tanungin ko kung alam niya ba na nakakaasar si Hyejin kahit mabait naman siya?

May mga tao kasi talaga na kahit walang ginagawa sa'yo, nakakaasar. I mean, I tried to avoid that kind of feeling, but I'm bitter because they were best friends. And Yiv's my crush. Masama ba'ng magselos?

I am not sorry that I am jealous, even if I don't have the right to. Because those are my feelings, and throughout the years, I realized that... my feelings valid.

"He's from the past. And... I liked someone now," I shyly said before blushing. But I should do this. Sabi ni Michelle sa'kin na kung wala akong gagawin, wala raw mangyayari! Hindi naman na uso ngayon 'yung lalaki lagi ang aamin. If I like him, then I'll tell him.

Wala nang marami pang komplikasyon.

Komplikado nga pala akong tao. I overthink too much.

"Who—" He couldn't finish what he was about to say when we heard a loud calling of his name from the counter.

"Hoy, Arciaga!" pagtawag ni Haru kaya napakunot ang noo ni Yiv. Napangiti na lang ako pero agad nanlumo nang makita kong kasama niya si Abraham at Hyejin. Magkakaibigan talaga sila, 'no?

Mabilis na pumunta sa gawi namin silang tatlo at umupo sa harap namin. Katabi ni Yiv si Abe at Hyejin, habang katabi ko naman si Haru.

"Hi, Ms. Storage Room," bati ni Haru habang may ngiti sa labi niya at nagpakita ng singkit niyang mga mata. Ngayon ko lang napansin na magkahawig pala sila ni Yiv. Are they somewhat related?

I blushed because of his nickname on me when I remembered why he called me that, so I just awkwardly smiled. I was about to say something when I heard Michelle's voice on my back.

"Ano 'to, reunion?! Bakit 'di mo 'ko tinawag, Bla—I mean, Bianca! Nakakainis ka!" Hinila niya sandali ang buhok ko kaya napa-aray ako.

"Hey, take it easy," saway ni Yiv. Nang-asar na naman si Michelle at Haru sa'min habang nakatingin lang ng nakakaloko si Abe.
